The book “Al-Mukhtasar al-Salat al-Batra” by Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hashem Madani was published in Indonesian in Indonesia.
The book is about the existence or non-existence of greetings to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in common greetings to the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) by Muslims.
According to the author, based on the consensus of hadiths that have clarified the quality of Salawat (greetings) on the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), and also according to the testimony of many Sunni scholars, Salawat on Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) is a necessary part and not recommended for it.
From the author’s point of view, what caused this necessary part of Salawat to be removed from it, was the strictness of the Umayyads in practicing this heresy, and the obedience of the people out of fear.
Numerous sections of this work include the study of sixteen hadiths on the quality of Salawat, the identification of the meaning of “Al” by Shiites and Sunnis based on prophetic hadiths, the history of Salawat legislation and the view of the five jurisprudential denominations of Islam, critique of the reasons of those who believe in incomplete Salawat, and in the end, reflection on the legitimacy of the additional part “wa sallam” to the end of Salawat.
It is worth mentioning that this book has been translated into Indonesian by the order of the translation office of the Assembly, by Mr. Nasser Damiati. Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, in collaboration with the Islamic Center of Jakarta, published this book in 409 pages in medium octavo size in Indonesia.
