ABWA Official Website – On Saturday, July 8, 2023, the celebration of Eid al-Ghadir was held with the participation of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the Shiite elders of Pakistan, in the amphitheater hall of Jamia Al-Kowsar, in Islamabad, the capital of the country.
In this ceremony, while referring to the great efforts of Shiites in Islamabad, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Jamia Al-Kowsar should develop Shiite culture in Pakistan.”
“All the duties of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) were entrusted to Imam Ali (a.s.). Ghadir interprets and completes the prophetic teachings. After the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), Umayyad and Abbasid Islam emerged, and it was Alawite Islam that preserved authentic Islam. There is no Sharia law in Christianity. Umayyad and Abbasid versions of Islam also provided the basis for removing Sharia from Islam. On the other hand, Ghadir Islam is different from the Umayyad version of Islam,” he added.
“Today, there are two liberal and extreme versions of Islam, both of which are considered distortions. Some describe the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) as a warmonger. This is despite the fact that Islam was never the initiator of war and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had only 4 wars, while other conflicts were only operations and not wars,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Ghadir helps in personal and social development,” he added, “From the point of view of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the greatest teaching of Ghadir is our duty to participate in our own destiny. Another teaching of Ghadir is that the best people should be appointed to lead affairs and work. Therefore, it should be noted that Ghadir is the teaching of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and Ashura is another Ghadir to revive Islam.”
Referring to the leadership of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized, “Believing in God, the path, and his ummah, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) entered the social and political arena and brought the Iranian nation to power. Muslims should also pay attention to Ghadir’s literature to gain power.”
“We must introduce Islam comprehensively, deeply, and accurately,” he continued, “The graduates of Jamia Al-Kowsar need to be both knowledgeable in religion (Islam) and have spiritual grandeur.”
“The enemy is seeking to make the youth agnostic, as well as insult the holy things under the pretext of freedom of speech. Therefore, the ulama should make multiple efforts for the religiosity of people and youth,” he stated.
“Ulama should be role models for society. They are mediators between God and people in propagating Islam and guiding people. Shiites, in turn, should introduce Shia with their conduct,” said the seminary professor at the end of his speech.
It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of this ceremony, the officials of the Jamia Al-Kowsar presented a report on the activities of the organization.
