ABWA Official Website – On Wednesday morning, November 1, 2023, the commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of Gaza and the heroes of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation under the title “Mission of Muslims in liberating the Holy Quds” was held at the Immaculate Imams (a.s.) Jurisprudence Center (مرکز فقهی ائمه اطهار) in Qom.
In this ceremony, while expressing appreciation to Ayatollah Muhammad Javad Fazel Lankarani, director of the Jurisprudence Center of the Immaculate Imams (a.s.) of Qom, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Holding such a conference in a specialized seminary center is admirable and this action must be a model for other seminary centers.”
Referring to the late Imam Khomeini’s emphasis on the Cause of Palestine, he said, “The Cause of Palestine is not only the issue of the West Asia. Rather, it is related to the entire Islamic world. All believers in the world, especially Muslims, must publicly denounce the crimes of the Zionist regime.”
Explaining the importance of individual and social dimensions of Islam, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Islam’s emphasis on social rules is far more than individual rules. In this regard, researchers have also confirmed that the number of social rules of Islam prevails over individual rules. Even individual rules must also end up with social works; like worship in solitude, the effects of which should lead to daily life and reforming society.”
Mentioning the scientific and military achievements of Islamic Iran, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, Iran has become a power in the international arena that can either confront or negotiate with the arrogant countries of the world. Another achievement of Islamic Iran is the emergence of the social sphere of religion in society, which has forced prestigious universities such as Oxford and Sorbonne to offer a redefinition of Abrahamic religions and declare that religion has the capability of developing society.”
He pointed to the plan of the Western and Eastern blocs to dissolve the countries of the region, even Iran and considered the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran as a turning point against the colonial powers.
Referring to the persuasive and proscribing principles of the discourse of the Islamic Revolution in the international arena, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “The first proscribing principle is the realization of dignity in human society. In the Holy Quran, the strategy of the human system has been introduced as the realization of true dignity, to ultimately bring humanity to a monotheistic system.”
Explaining the second persuasive principle, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “In Islam, the purpose of sending prophets by God is mentioned as seeking justice. Pursuing justice will entail costs. Regarding this issue, we read in the Holy Quran: “لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ” (Certainly We sent Our apostles with manifest proofs, and We sent down with them the Book and the Balance, so that mankind may maintain justice) (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Hadid, Verse: 25). In the matter of justice, the Holy Quran uses the word “rising” which means justice arising from the society, nature, and intellect.”
“The concept of “resistance” is the universal goal of all divine messengers. The formation of the Resistance Front is the result of the try of the people of the region to achieve justice and it is the manifestation of the social beliefs of Islam. Unfortunately, some advocate compassionate Islam, and in this way seek absolute peace. While there is no such thing as absolute peace in the world. Rather, even in the Quranic verses the issue of “peace based on justice” is emphasized,” he added.
Referring to the Quranic verse, “قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَعِظُكُمْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ ۖ أَنْ تَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ مَثْنَىٰ وَفُرَادَىٰ” (Say, ‘I give you just a single advice: that you rise up for Allah’s sake, in pairs or singly) (Holy Quran, Surah: Saba, Verse: 46), Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “In the tafsir of this verse, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) emphasizes two important issues: first, the human need for a monotheistic system to gain dignity, and second, the observance of justice in social affairs, which the stability of society depends on.”
“Avoiding oppression, and avoiding submitting to oppression, are the two proscribing principles of the discourse of the Islamic Iran,” Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “In verse 279 of Surah Al-Baqarah, God says: “لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ” which means do not oppress and do not submit to oppression. Also in this regard, Imam Ali (a.s.) says, “کونا للظّالم خصماً و للمظلوم عوناً” (We are enemies with the oppressor, and we help the oppressed). That is, we are always fighting against oppressors, and we will always support the oppressed in the world.”
“The four mentioned principles are based on Fitrah (divine human nature), reason, and in accordance with Quranic verses and hadiths. All the teachings of Islam are an educational package for teaching and learning to guide man toward the path of personal and social excellence. Seminarians have a difficult task in explaining the teachings of Islam and its objectives,” he said.
“The Islamic Revolution of Iran is responsible for persuasive and proscribing principles in today’s world. In this regard, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, stated, “I came to restore the sovereignty to mankind.” The Iranian Revolution was a miracle that permanently changed the political system of Iran. While experts believed that Iran’s political system will change in a slow and long process. The train of the Islamic Revolution is going forward, and although sometimes it slows down with the intervention of some people, it continues its path. I saw the manifestation of this movement during my recent visit to Africa,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.
Further, explaining the 24 protocols of the Zionist regime, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “In the first paragraph of this protocol, it reads that the right is always with force and power, and the one who has power is in the position of right! This view is the same as the Machiavellian view, which argues that you can do anything to gain power. As a result, politics and ethics are in basic conflict.”
Explaining ethical liberalism, he said, “The outcome of ethical liberalism is nothing but promiscuity and immorality. In the United States and most Western countries, they try to consider every couple under the same roof, whether two women, two men, or a human with an animal, as a family! They even held homosexual weddings in churches! The result of this approach is nothing but an identity crisis in Western society.”
“Western countries are trying to educate a secular generation by providing educational and cultural packages in some schools in Islamic countries. Some people consider religion as a symbol of barbarism and introduce the growth of humans in conflict with religion and spirituality! The new generation should be protected from such beliefs. In this regard, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “There will come a time when only a name will remain of Islam, and only its writings will remain of the Quran.” That is, they overturn Islam like a vessel full of water so that in the end nothing of its teachings remains,” Ayatollah Ramazani continued.
Referring to fake spiritualities, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “There are 4,000 fake spiritualities in the world today. They try to separate God from religion and Shariah, while genuine spirituality has its meaning with God and Sharia. Spirituality without God means a spirituality that is in conflict with responsibility or evades it. While Islam seeks to promote responsible spirituality. A Muslim person, according to his relationship with God Almighty, should reform himself and the society and perform his duties.”
Further on the ongoing war in Gaza and the crimes of the Zionist regime, he said, “Based on international statistics, the Zionist regime is the major violator of the approvals of international organizations. The United States has used the veto right in 50 to 60 cases to prevent the implementation of international resolutions against the Zionist regime. For example, the resolution of the United Nations Security Council, which ordered Israel to withdraw from the Sinai desert, the West Bank of the Jordan River, the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, and the occupied territories, was vetoed by the United States.”
Referring to the atrocities in Gaza committed by the Zionist regime, Ayatollah expressed said, “Until yesterday, 8429 people were martyred in Gaza, half of them were innocent children. Aren’t these people a clear example of the verse “بِأَيِّ ذَنۢبٖ قُتِلَتۡ” (for what sin she was killed) (Holy Quran, Surah: At-Takwir, Verse: 9) Have Muslims not heard the hadith of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) who said, “مَنْ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا یُنَادِی یَا لَلْمُسْلِمِینَ فَلَمْ یُجِبْهُ فَلَیْسَ بِمُسْلِم”? It means that anyone who hears someone’s (whether he is a Muslim or a non-Muslim) cry for help and does not get help, is not a Muslim.)”
“Out of the 2 million population of Gaza, 1.4 million people are displaced and have no shelter to live. There is no prison in the world like Gaza, and there is no crime in history like the Zionist crimes in Gaza. If the expansion of the Zionist regime was not halted, we would have seen such disastrous events in other West Asian countries today,” continued the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Referring to the racist views of the Zionist regime, he said, “This people see itself as superior and higher than all and believes that the world people will come to the conclusion that they should proudly serve Zionists! Zionists are indifferent to human beings and their rights, the issue that is defined by their protocols.”
“Some observe such crimes, but continue to remain silent, or do not consider it their duty to take a clear position! No sane person will remain silent witnessing Zionists’ crimes. Today, seminaries and ulama should be at the forefront of all protests against the Zionist regime,” Ayatollah Ramazani stressed, pointing out the Quranic verses and hadiths confronting with oppression.
In explaining the logic of Islam and the enemies of the religion, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Logic of the enemy is based on wealth, power, and cunning. While the logic of Islam is based on rationality and confronting oppression. The only school that can confront the Zionist regime is the rich logic of Islam and the school of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). Resistance is the only thought that can suppress the enemies and is subject to God’s mercy so that human society can benefit from this mercy.”
