ABWA Official Website – Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who traveled to Burundi at the invitation of Shiites and Muslims of the country, met with the students of Imam Zain Al-Abedin (a.s.) Seminary, affiliated to Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) International University.
In this meeting, addressing the clergy, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “I am very happy to have attended this blessed seminary. We consider you as soldiers of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), and the seminary as a barracks, and our chief commander is Imam Mahdi (a.s.). Certainly, the commander visits his soldiers. We hope we all have his prayers.”
While expressing gratitude to the officials and organizers of this seminary, he said to the clergy, “Study for God. When the study of religious sciences is in the way of God’s pleasure, it becomes divine, and everything that becomes divine will remain eternal.”
“Not only your education should be for God, but teaching, preaching, and action should also be for God. According to a hadith, whoever learns, teaches, and practices his knowledge for God, will be considered great in heaven,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Emphasizing the persistence of learning even after graduation, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Don’t ever think we can graduate. You may graduate with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate. Because religious knowledge is infinite.”
“In addition to the general courses of the seminary, the officials should plan for the teaching of the Quran, Nahj al-Balagha, and the Sahife Sajjadieh. For these courses, a textbook and curriculum should be prepared by topics. You memorize the Quran; in addition to that, you need to study it topically. For example, you need to work on topics such as intercession, dignity, humanity, self-purification, etc.,” continued the professor of higher levels.
Emphasizing the necessity of research in seminaries, he added, “It is necessary to prepare a methodology for research, and you need to learn skills such as classroom management, question and answer, Quran teaching, lectures, teaching, preaching, etc.”
“Acquaint the youth with the various principles and issues of Islam and the life and tradition of the Prophet and the AhlulBayt (p.b.u.t). In the old days, those who came to the seminary had one year of moral and educational courses. After that, they were taught the knowledge of religion. If an athlete is not taught ethics, he may use his abilities against the oppressed and become a bully. The weapon of religion is very important and should not be given to anyone. Therefore, we need to improve our ethics,” Ayatollah Ramezani said at the end of his speech.
