The consultative meeting of the cultural centers related to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly with the officials of the Assembly was held on Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, in the assembly hall of the Assembly in Qom.
In this ceremony, the Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The purpose of holding this meeting is to get acquainted with the capabilities of these centers in the presence of the Deputy for the International Affairs of the Assembly.”
“Supporting research related to each region is one of the Assembly’s new policies. Because so far, most of the works have been produced and translated in Iran and sent to other countries. But in the new phase, the research work is focused on the space of the target area. We are looking to provide the files of all the books of the Assembly to those who are interested, so that they can publish them in each country in their own name for the dissemination of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school. Because our goal is to spread the Maaref of the AhlulBayt (a.s.),” stated Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mehdi Farmanian, regarding the new policies of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Supporting scientific works is another policy of the Assembly. On behalf of the General Directorate of Education of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, we announce our readiness to hold short-term training courses for those who need training. These courses can also be held virtually. We will also hold courses for media and cyberspace training,” he continued.
“The task of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is taking care of the affairs of Shiites outside Iran,” the Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly continued, “In the field of translation, our policy is to move towards authorship and to support the writing of works in different regions. On the other hand, from now on, the support of the centers will be purposeful and commensurate with the objectives of the assembly.”
Hojat al-Islam Zarean, the Deputy for the International Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stated, “Since I was in Al-Mustafa International University, I have been closely acquainted with the activities of the centers. There is a very close relationship between the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Al-Mustafa International University (a.s.). Due to the lack of communication, I was not aware of the Assembly’s capacity during my tenure at Al-Mustafa International University. Al-Mustafa International University provides clergies with the opportunity to study and gain experience with the aim of returning their home counties and propagating the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). The Al-Mustafa International university delivers the clergy to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and the Assembly benefits from the efforts of Al-Mustafa International University.”
“No action has been taken to explain the working relationship between the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Al-Mustafa International University, and to achieve this goal, no organizational chart is envisaged. However, there is a working relationship between these two institutions, and the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the President of the Al-Mustafa International University hold joint meetings,” he added.
“The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly communicates with the clerics of other countries through missionaries and cultural centers. The Assembly supports the local missionaries to the best of its ability, and the duty of the local assemblies is to address the issues and problems of the Shiites. Therefore, in the new policy, we seek to bring the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Al-Mustafa International University together to communicate with each other,” Zarean said, emphasizing the importance of creating conditions for the use of graduates of Al-Mustafa International University.
“I have always emphasized that the study period of clergies should be defined and intensive. Non-Iranian clergies must return to their home countries responsibly to serve the AhlulBayt (a.s.) through communication with the people and the youth, and their goal should not be just staying in Qom and studying. It is good to have several centers in different countries, because each center has its own capacities. But their unity and synergy are important for us. I myself have witnessed that several centers in single country that were not aware of each other’s activities. It is important for the centers to communicate and be aware of each other. To achieve this goal, communication and interaction must be increased,” he said, in the end.
