In a statement, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly of Afghanistan expressed condolences on the third demise anniversary of the Afghan member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
The statement is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Three years have passed since the demise of the divine scholar, Faqih (jurist) in the sciences of AhlulBayt (a.s.), member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. Pious and Muslim people of Afghanistan are mourning in the loss of that wise scholar, a knowledgeable scientific figure in the sciences of Hadith and Rijal. People of Afghanistan are fully aware of the scientific services of Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Asef Mohseni (r.a.) from the beginning of his youth to the last moments of his life.
The book Moderate Economy in which he presented an Islamic theory on the economy, and the valuable book Benefits of Religion in Life at his young age, and Collection of Authentic Hadiths which he finished with enthusiasm, interest, and sincerity at the end of his life while he was ill, are among dozens of his important works that are used in scientific and religious centers.
In addition to the scientific works and books he authored, the establishment of religious places such as the scientific-cultural complex and Fatimieh Mosque in Kandahar, the seminary, the Khatam al-Annabiyin (p.b.u.h) university and clinic, and Tamaddun TV are the remnants of the righteous for him.
His efforts for the unity of Shia and Sunni and keeping the country safe from wars and destructive internal conflicts, his efforts towards the approximation of Islamic denominations, the establishment of the Council of Shiite Ulama, and his continuous classes on ethics and Tafsir on the religious television of Tamaddon, are among his activities in line with Islamic values.
While honoring the memory of Grand Ayatollah Mohseni (r.a.) on his third demise anniversary, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly express its condolences on the loss of this prominent member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly to the noble nation of Afghanistan, seminaries, and his respected family, and asks God Almighty to ascend the ranks of that pious scholar.
The late Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Asef Mohseni Kandahari, one of the great Shia scholars of Afghanistan and a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who also headed the Islamic Brotherhood Council of Afghanistan, passed away on August 5, 2019, at the age of 85 in Kabul.
