ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ms. Sarah Saeq from Lebanon participated in a brief interview with ABNA News Agency.
Saeq, who is a student of electronic engineering at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University in Tehran, about the situation of Shiites in Lebanon stated, “The situation of Lebanese Shiites today is very different from what it was in the past. The country’s Shiites have made progress at the international level that cannot be ignored. They owe these achievements to Iran, Resistance forces, and Hezbollah. In Lebanon, Shiites look at Iran like a child looks at his parents. Iran is the first supporter of Shiites.”
“Lebanon is currently suffering from the US economic sanctions,” she added, “In Lebanon, we are facing a severe economic crisis due to economic sanctions and inefficiency in the production sector. The United States is the greatest enemy of the Resistance in Lebanon. Despite the efforts to divide the people of the country, the Lebanese people’s awareness of seditions has become much higher than it was in the past.”
About religious schools in Lebanon, Saeq said, “In Lebanon, there are schools named after Imam Mahdi (a.s.), in which Shiite thought and belief flourishes for students from very childhood.”
Also, regarding the strategies to improve the level of Shiites in Lebanon, she said, “The unity of Shiites, whether in Lebanon or in Iraq, Iran, Syria or anywhere else, will lead to the development of Shiite consciousness everywhere in the world.”
“Our aim should be to unite the Shiites regardless of the region,” Sarah Saeq emphasized, “In this regard, Iran plays a significant role. Today, Iran is the source of Shiite power in the world, and we are always united with Iran against the enemy.”
