ABWA Official Website – In the “Ashura and Missionaries” conference, women missionaries of Afghanistan exchanged views on better holding Muharram mourning ceremonies.
In this conference, which was held at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly in Kabul, on the position of the missionaries, Hojat al-Islam Alemi Balkhi, the head of the Assembly, said, “A person who fears other than God cannot fulfill the divine mission for people. Prophets and messengers only feared God and did not fear anyone else. Missionaries should be like this.”
Referring to the prophetic hadith “The ulama of my Ummah are like the Israelite prophets”, the head of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly stated, “Many cases have been mentioned about the similarities between the ulama of Islam and the Israelite prophets. One of these cases is that the Israelite prophets did not have their own Sharia and they preached the Sharia of Prophet Moses (p.b.u.h). In the same way, the ulama of Prophet Muhammad’s (p.b.u.h) Ummah, propagate his Sharia. The second similarity is that both the Israelite Prophets and the ulama of Islam have endured many difficulties and hardships to propagate the religion.”
“This position of ulama is not exclusive to men or women and includes everyone,” he added, “You missionary women who convey the religion of the Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) to the people, have the position of a prophet.”
In another part of his speech, the head of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly of Afghanistan called the missionaries to avoid deviations and exaggeration in their preaching speeches, which unfortunately have been entered the mourning ceremonies, and to express the objectives of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the reality of the Ashura event.
