ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, ABNA reporter interviewed Mr. Meysam Talebi, in charge of the booth of the Oriental Thought Institute for Culture and Art.
While eferring to the cooperation between Oriental Thought Institute for Culture and Art and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, he said, “The institute officially started its activity in 2000 in Latin America in Portuguese and Spanish languages.”
“The Oriental Thought Institute for Culture and Art has published 130 book titles so far,” the exhibitor of the institute added, “Among these works are: the translation of the Holy Quran and Forty Hadiths by Imam Khomeini (r.a.), in Spanish. Also, the publication of the translation of a book about General Soleimani was well received in Argentina.”
“About 140 missionaries were dispatched by our institute to different regions of Latin America to propagate Islam, although the educational and propagational activities of the Eastern Thought Institute have been somewhat limited due to the restrictions of Covid-19,” Talebi expressed, regarding the propagation activities of Oriental Thought Institute.
“Many people are not familiar with the religious activities in Portuguese and Spanish languages. With our participation in this exhibition, we can introduce the of “Oriental Thought Institute for Culture and Art” to visitors,” he commented in the end on the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition.
It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
It is worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.
The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
