ABWA Official Website – The president of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy visited the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition and was informed about the achievements of institutions and centers active in the international arena.
In an interview with Abna reporter, while expressing his gratitude to the organizers of “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, Dr. Najaf Lakzaee stated, “Such exhibitions show the existing infrastructural capacities in the Qom seminary and scientific centers in Qom. They can expand their transnational activities for the implementation of Islam and work in the regional, Islamic world and international arenas. Considering that “Lights of Guidance” is the first exhibition in which the achievements of institutions and centers active in the international arena are displayed, I hope it will be held in a more regular way and annually.”
“A few years ago, a similar exhibition was held at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, where the international capacity of the Assembly and its affiliated centers was displayed. However, the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition is considered the first exhibition of its kind,” he stated.
While emphasizing the necessity of interaction between centers and institutions active in the international arena, the president of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy continued, “In order to achieve their objectives, such exhibitions should put synergy, networking, and identification of existing capacities on their agenda. In this regard, it is necessary that these exhibitions be held routinely, regularly, and annually, and proper information should be given about them.”
Regarding the deficiencies of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, he asserted, “In this exhibition, I saw the absence of many centers active in the international arena, including academic centers and scientific research institutes that have international activities. Also, non-Persian magazines published in these universities and research institutes were not presented in the exhibition. Because it is the first year that the Lights of Guidance exhibition is held, it is natural that many centers are not present due to lack of information. I suggest that the Lights of Guidance exhibition be held annually on specific days. On the other hand, there is a need to provide more appropriate information about its holding. In this way, after a few years, we will witness an exhibition that displays the international capacities of the scientific, cultural, educational, cultural and missionary centers. Also, the media, television, and radio channels active in the international arena, as well as the cultural centers of different countries, do not have a prominent presence in this exhibition.”
“I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the authorities and organizers of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition as they hold it for the first time. This exhibition displays the high capacities of Qom scientific and seminary centers in carrying out international activities,” said Lakzaee in the end.
It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.
The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
