ABWA Official Website – The specialized and scientific seminar “Character of Lady Fatimah (a.s.)” was held in Georgia with the speech of Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and with the participation of more than 500 of AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers.
In this seminar, while pointing out the diligence and role of all ulama and clerics to introduce the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in Georgia, Ayatollah Ramazani expressed, “Today, the presence of this enthusiastic group of AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in this seminar shows and proves the valuable efforts of all those who share in this sacred movement. I believe that if the beauty of the words of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is properly introduced and taught, it will definitely reach the hearts, and people’s interest and love for AhlulBayt (a.s.) will increase.”
“We see an example of the life of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the blessed life of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Lady Fatimah (a.s.). Those two nobles raised their children in the best and highest way with the least means and presented great figures such as Imam Hassan (a.s.), Imam Hussain (a.s.), Lady Zaynab (a.s.) and Lady Umm Kulthum (a.s.) to humanity,” he added.
About the character of Lady Zahra (a.s.), the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Lady Fatimah (a.s.) believed that whoever has the love of Imam Ali (a.s.) will attain felicity. Lady Fatimah (a.s.) had such a great position that when she entered the house, the Holy Prophet (a.s.) would stand to respect her and kiss her hand. Therefore, Lady Zahra (a.s.) is a role model for girls, women, mothers and every believer and Muslim.”
“Imam Ali (a.s.) swears that he never made Lady Fatimah (a.s.) angry or upset during his blessed life. Basically, one of the recommendations of Islam is to respect women in the family. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said in this regard that a man who raises his hand to a woman is a vile and cursed man. Imam Ali (a.s.) also said, “When I entered the house with all the sadness and sorrows I had, I would calm down by seeing Lady Zahra (a.s.),” he continued.
About the position and role of women in the society, the professor of the higher levels of the Islamic seminary stated, “Women in Islamic society should pay attention to two basic roles: First, managing the house and educating the next generation, which is a sacred matter; and second, participation in social affairs. In Islamic Iran, women are present and active in almost all social affairs and have assumed many social, cultural and political responsibilities. Today, Iranian women are present in all international arenas and play roles. In Iran, 95% of specialized matters related to women are in the hands of women themselves. Also, 34% of Iranian university faculty members are women.”
“In the Quran and our religious teachings, it is always ordered to respect women and family,” he continued, “About 200 Quranic verses refer to the noble character of women, and Chapter Maryam (a.s.) describes the character of a woman in the best way.”
Addressing the participants in the seminar, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “My advice to you dear ones is to pay special attention to youth, women, and family. Be careful to keep family away from distortion. The West basically has no correct understanding of women’s position to defend their rights. Therefore, take care of your values, honor, and religious teachings. You have passed the bitter experience of communism. For seventy years they tried to take AhlulBayt (a.s.) from you. But in the same years, you tried to take care of your religious identity by naming your children after the names of the Immaculate Imams (a.s.).”
“Consider the Quran as a written instruction for life,” he advised the youth, “Although reciting the Quran is important, it is more important to think and act upon the divine verses. Know that only savior of the man are the divine verses. On the other hand, communication with the Immaculate Imams (p.b.u.h) is very important because the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) recommended us all to the Quran and his progeny.”
In giving recommendations to the clerics of the region, the professor of higher levels of the seminary said, “Maintain unity and empathy. Because unity will help to promote the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers. Also, respect the state law of the Georgia to maintain and develop the peaceful coexistence that already exists.”
It is worth mentioning that at the end of the seminar, some Marneuli TV channels, including Channel 24 News, interviewed Ayatollah Ramazani. /345/
