On Saturday, February 13, 2022, Sheikh-ul-Islam Ramin Igidov, Head of the Muslim Office of Georgia, with Haj Qorban, Deputy Director of the Muslim Office of Georgia, met with Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Tehran.
In this meeting, while expressing satisfaction with the presence of the head of the Muslim Office of Georgia in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized on maintaining unity and empathy between the Muslim community and the Shiites of Georgia.
Other points mentioned by the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in this meeting were paying special attention to the adolescent and young generation and planning for the education of a committed and religious generation, forming special working groups for families and women with the aim of caring for the identity and dignity of the family, the need for serious attention to the cyberspace and full use of the capacity of social networks, the need to hold training workshops for talented and interested people in the field of education and propagation, and resolve people’s doubts in the field of Sharia and religious affairs.
“Today is a golden opportunity to propagate pure, compassionate and rational Islam,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “In this golden age, it is the duty of all scholars and preachers to define pure Islam again and show the world that Islam is the religion of happiness, morality, civilization and rationality.”
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Ramin Igidov expressed his satisfaction with attending the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and meeting with the Secretary-General of the Assembly and invited Ayatollah Ramazani to visit Georgia.
The activities of the head of the Muslim administration of Georgia, which Sheikh Ramin Igidov informed the Secretary-General about, were repairing mosques, propagating pure Islam, caring for charitable affairs, establishing websites to introduce the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and holding various programs and conferences, including the great celebration of 15 Sha’ban (birth of Imam Mahdi), Eid Ghadir, Unity Week, mourning of Tasua and Ashura and Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.).
