In a statement, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly condemned the terrorist blast on Kabul’s Sayed Al-Shuhada school, which killed 85 people and injured 147 others.
“This horrific terrorist crime, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of fasting and innocent girls during the holy month of Ramadan, is a desperate attempt to make Afghanistan insecure, as well as an example of the fanaticism, stupidity, and barbarism of the Takfiri ideology,” a part of this statement reads.
The statement of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
“Whoever kills a soul, without [its being guilty of] manslaughter or corruption on the earth, is as though he had killed all mankind.” (Quran 5:32)
The hands of Takfiri terrorists and the enemies of the security of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan were once again stained with the blood of the oppressed and defenseless students of Sayed Al-Shuhada school in the Barchi plain of Kabul.
This painful and terrorist crime, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of fasting and innocent girls during the holy month of Ramadan, is a desperate attempt to make Afghanistan insecure, as well as an example of fanaticism, stupidity, and barbarism of the Takfiri ideology.
Today, more than ever, it is incumbent upon all Muslims to offer and propagate a rational, moral, and anti-oppression interpretation of pure Islam, and to stand against prejudice and violence. All free people in the world, especially Shiite and Sunni scholars and figures, are expected to take a serious stance on such incidents, and express their disgust and hatred against the crimes of terrorist groups, against the followers of all Islamic religions.
The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly strongly condemns this great crime against humanity, and while offering condolences to the honorable families of the martyrs, and the friendly nation and government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the assembly prays for divine mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs of the incident, asks God for immediate healing for the wounded, and patience and reward for their families.
The Assembly also urges the esteemed officials of the Government of Afghanistan to deal with the perpetrators of this tragic incident firmly, so that we do not witness such incidents again.
