ABWA Official Website – On Thursday evening, April 13, 2023, during the vigil of the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan, which was held in the Safi Mosque of Rasht, while commemorating the late Ayatollah Rudbari, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “It is a source of felicity that his esteemed son accepted to attend tonight’s ceremony. His capabilities should be used in universities and seminaries.”
The representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Ayatollah Rudbari’s son should not be content with just holding congregational prayers in this mosque, but like his father, he should hold Tafsir classes. Today, the topics of (Islamic) beliefs, ethics, and Ahkam (Islamic rules) are highly needed by society.
“People need the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings, and the more the society is in touch with the Quran, the more secure it will be,” he added, “We need people like late Ayatollah Rudbari in all cities and towns.”
“The Holy Quran can ascend humanity. We should be grateful for the Qadr Nights. If a person can use these nights correctly, he will reach divine knowledge,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.
“One of the most important ways to reach divine knowledge is self-knowledge. Unfortunately, we are more interested in getting to know the objects and our surroundings and have spent less time on ourselves, and we have failed in this regard,” noted the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“The most virtuous knowledge is self-knowledge. When a person reaches knowledge, he can communicate with the cosmos and know (God’s) blessings. Humans have the capability to reach different ranks,” he said.
“We must use God’s blessings and be grateful for them, otherwise, God will take them from us,” Ayatollah Ramazani expressed.
“Man has social responsibilities and cannot avoid them, and even someone who does not have a government position is responsible for the values, rulings, and religious rituals of the society,” emphasized the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“We should use and be grateful for divine blessings, including the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Imams (a.s.), the Holy Quran, and Marjaiat (sources of emulation). Because they bring us closer to God’s service and keep us away from sins,” he added.
“Religion is the call of human Fitrah (divine nature of human). Islam talks about nothing but Fitrah, rationality, spirituality, and justice. Therefore, it is wrong to say that there is anti-religionism,” Ayatollah Ramazani continued.
“We must introduce Islam correctly, and use the facilities available in the government, including national radio and television, as well as the capacity of ulama, educators, and teachers, to properly introduce Islam,” clarified the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
Referring to the duties of the ulama, he said, “Introducing Islam correctly, answering questions, and doubts are the three duties of the ulama.”
Further, while pointing out the necessity of paying attention to the hijab and knowing its reason, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “We must explain to people the consequences of not wearing hijab and what has happened in Western societies in this regard. If norm-breaking and nudity become a culture in a society, it will definitely be corrupting.”
“This is not only for hijab, but also in the field of livelihood and economy, if it is not controlled, corruption will occur,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
In the final part of his speech, referring to the Nahj al-Balagha as a unique book, he said, “Imam Ali (a.s.) was a just ruler who was martyred in the path of justice. Despite the unkindness that has been perpetrated throughout history, today Imam Ali (a.s.) is beloved of the people of the world.”
Referring to the 34th sermon of Nahj al-Balagha, which deals with the mutual rights of the Imam and the Ummah, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The duty of the people towards the Imam is to listen to his words and obey his orders, and Imam’s duty towards the people is to divide everything equally among them and observe justice for them.”
Noting another hadith, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts said, “In a hadith, Imam Ali (a.s.) said, “Four things cause the fall of a government: forgetting the main and fundamental issues, dealing with trivial matters, employing inappropriate and incompetent people, and rejection the competent and efficient people”.”
“If an official feels that he cannot continue in his office, he should resign himself, and someone who is suitable should assume the office,” he emphasized.
“We all should observe Ahkam (Islam’s rules) and Sharia. It is necessary to pay attention to the families of the martyrs, the principles of the martyrs, and the principles and goals for which they were martyred. Also, the advice given by the martyrs regarding the Islamic government (of Iran), Wilaya (of Faqih), and the (Islamic) Revolution should not be forgotten,” said Ayatollah Ramazani in the end.
