ABWA Official Website – On Thursday, March 9, 2023, in a meeting with the clergy and clerics of Khomam, in the office of the Friday prayer imam of the city, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Today we are facing a propaganda-media attack against religion.”
Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Today, the enemy seeks to limit religion, weaken the dignity and status of the clergy, and attack the Islamic Republic and Revolution of Iran.”
“On the other hand, we are facing a narrative attack, which is trying to overthrow the Islamic Republic. The Islamic Republic is the result of the blood of the purest martyrs, including General Soleimani,” he clarified.
“Today, the latest religious research is conducted in prominent European universities, which follow different approaches. Until 30 years ago, there were no intra-religion conflicts and discords. But today, the enemy pursues the project of intra-religion discords,” Ayatollah Ramazani noted.
While referring to the project of provoking discords between Shiites and Sunnis by Britain, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts said, “Britain follows this project with massive budgets.”
“Some so-called intellectuals say that the Quran is not a book of life and law! In the United States and Germany, they have defined a 15-year project on the Quran for the necessity of removing the Quranic verses related to Jihad and resistance!” he clarified.
“The enemies are trying to say that because the language of the Quran is Arabic, it cannot be a book of life for all mankind today! This is even though the language for understanding the Quran is firstly intellect and secondly Fitra (the human divine nature), and the whole of humanity shares these two commonalities,” Ayatollah Ramazani expressed.
“About 300 verses in the Quran are about reason, rationality, reasoning, thinking, and pondering,” the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “However, some people are pushing the society towards liberalism, that is, the closure of Sharia law.”
“Today, our ulama must be up-to-date and equip themselves against the huge hardware and software attack of the enemy. Eliminating and restricting religion are among the enemies’ objectives,” he emphasized.
“We must change our literature so that we can talk to the youth. Today, the young generation is facing a lot of questions and doubts, and we must answer them and convince them,” Ayatollah Ramazani said in the end. /345/
