ABWA Official Website – Following the terrorist attack on Sahib al-Zaman (a.s.) mosque in Pol-e-Khomri in Baghlan province of Afghanistan, which led to the martyrdom of several Shiites and worshipers of Friday prayers in this mosque, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly issued a statement.
The statement of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is as follows:
The reoccurrence of the bloody crime of the ISIS terrorist group against the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers and the targeting of the Saheb al-Zaman (a.s.) mosque in the Pul-e-Khomri region of Baghlan Province, Afghanistan, during saying Friday prayers, which led to the martyrdom and injury of a large number, caused regret and shock.
While strongly denouncing this barbaric and bloody crime that led to the martyrdom of nearly 40 people and the injury of more than 50 people, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly again called on the world community, region’s countries, and international organizations to put an end to the suffering of Muslims and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in Afghanistan, and asks them to take serious action in drying up the sources of terrorism. Also, the rulers of Afghanistan are expected to pay more attention to their responsibility to protect the lives and property of the country’s Shiite citizens.
While offering condolences to the Shiites and AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in Afghanistan, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly prays for God’s forgiveness for the martyrs of this terrorist attack, speedy recovery for the injured, and patience and endurance for their families.
