In the ceremony of the International Quds Day, which was held on May 6, 2021 with a limited population in Imam Khomeini Mosque in Rasht and was broadcast live on TV, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Holding the Quds Day ceremony in spite of Covid-19, in the form of television broadcasting, shows the concern of the representative of the Supreme Leader in Gilan, the governor of Gilan and the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council of the province regarding this important day.”
“It is a delusion that some people think that negotiating in this field is beneficial for the national interest,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stating that it is very clear that resistance is the only option that is considered in relation to the Holy Quds.
“The Palestinian refugees must return to their land, and those who occupied the country must be expelled,” he said, “The Palestinian people must decide their own destiny, and Palestine is for the Palestinians,” he said.
“Respect for the popular vote according to international organizations, the Palestinians should be given this right to play a role in their rule,” Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized.
“In the Holy Quran, about 400 verses are related to jihad and resistance,” noted the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts, pointing out that the issue of resistance has been emphasized in the Holy Quran and hadiths.
“Islam is the religion of mercy and the management of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) is based on mercy and the Qur'an emphasizes this point,” he said, answering to the claim that resistance is not compatible with the ruling spirit of Islam and Sharia.
“Some Western and Eastern intellectuals have believed in the omission of verses related to jihad and resistance. They believe in the interpretation of absolute peace for humanity,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.
“Undoubtedly, resistance and jihad are not for tyranny, conquest, colonization, exploitation, dictatorship, and domination. Rather, in order for human beings to progress towards happiness, it is to confront aggression and liberation from oppression,” noted the Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) World Assembly, explaining the goals of Resistance in the Holy Quran.
