With 270 members, this council consists of Sunni and Shiite scholars and its activities are generally under the supervision of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah.

In this meeting, while welcoming the guests, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “This Association is an example of the rationality of Islamic scholars in Lebanon and can be a role model for many countries.”

“AhlulBayt (a.s.) are the axis of unity of all Muslims,” he added, “In this regard, Lady Fatimah (a.s.) said, “Obedience to us is the system of governance for the nation, and our leadership prevents division.” Grand Ayatollah Khamenei also emphasizes that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) should be introduced to both the general public and elites of human society.”

“Some intellectuals using “merciful Islam” want to pave the way for compromise with the tyrants, and some are looking for absolute peace, while the peace that is emphasized in the Quranic verses and hadiths is a just peace based on justice and unity,” continued the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Islam and the management of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) are based on mercy. But under merciful Islam, resistance is also emphasized as a Quranic culture,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“The Association of Muslim Scholars of Lebanon needs to teach the human society about Merciful Islam along with resistance, and resistance along with Merciful Islam. The members of the Muslim Scholars Association must deal with this field accurately and scientifically,” he said.

“Today we are at a historical turning point, and Islamic scholars and all Muslims are all facing a great test,” emphasized the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The issue of Palestine is not only an Arab issue, but it is the issue of right and wrong, and the fronts of faith and disbelief, and it has global importance.”

Criticizing the indifference of the heads of some Islamic countries regarding Gaza and the great sedition of the Zionist regime, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Unfortunately, some Arab governments failed in the Palestinian issue, and we must pay attention to all aspects of the case to eliminate sedition.”

Referring to playing the victim by the Zionists, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly continued, “The Zionists claim that Hamas attacked them, and they are responding to Hamas’s attack. It should be noted that the Zionist regime occupies three-quarters of Palestinian lands, it has many crimes like the case of Sabra and Shatila, it has targeted Gaza dozens of times, and has displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians so far. The biggest violations of human rights in the whole world have been committed by Zionists. The occupying regime is not satisfied with just occupying Gaza but is trying to occupy many parts of the world to enslave the whole world.”

“Today, the public opinion of the world strongly fights against racism, and the worst racists in the international arena are the Zionists,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “To fight seditions, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Lebanon needs to use such words, which are accepted by the international community.”

“To fight against Israel’s great sedition, we must define the necessary strategies and solutions. We also need to strengthen our unity and cohesion and convey this issue to other Shiite and Sunni scholars,” he said.

It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by Sheikh Ghazi Hunaynah, chairman of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Association, Ali Hassan Khazem, a Lebanese Shiite writer and researcher, Sheikh Hassan Abdullah, the head of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Maher Mazhar, one of the Lebanese Sunni scholars, Sheikh Hussain Ghebris, head of political relations of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Association, and Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Baridi, a speaker, poet and active member of the Central Council of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Association.
