Pakistani Shiites should pay more attention to Islamic unity: Ayatollah Ramazani

Hojat al-Islam Sayed Iftikhar Hossein Naqvi, head of the Imam Khomeini Complex in Pakistan, met with Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In this meeting, while emphasizing the high personality of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Ayatollah Ramazani called on Pakistani Shiites to pay more attention to Islamic unity.

While praising the Islamic Ideology Council for passing the Personal Status Law based on Shiite jurisprudence, Ayatollah Ramazani described it as a factor in creating unity among Pakistani Muslims.

“The Pakistani Sunnis have always been lovers and defenders of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and Islamic unity,” the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized.

At the beginning of the meeting, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Iftikhar Hossein Naqvi stated, “The establishment of Al-Fajr University was one of our actions in Pakistan, in order to scientifically strengthen the Shiites.”

“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) has a special place among Muslims. Dr. Sedaghat Faridi’s scientific efforts in publishing the book “Abu Talib’s Irfan” have helped a lot in identifying and introducing his personality to Muslims in Pakistan and other parts of the world,” he added.

In the end, the head of the Imam Khomeini Complex in Pakistan stressed the need to pay attention to unity, and not to insult the sanctities of Islamic denominations.
