Defending their faith, homeland, Palestinian women, children, are steadfast: Roknabadi
The Director of Women’s Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “In addition to the oppression endured by the Palestinian women and children, another strange scene that has affected the world is the strength of faith and patience of those who are steadfast in defending their belief and homeland.”
ABWA Official Website – Dr. Roknabadi, the representative of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the first conference of the International Union of Anti-Oppression Women, entitled “ما رأیتُ الّا جمیلاً” (I saw nothing but beauty), in an interview on the sidelines of the conference stated, “Victory is not only in military term but being oppressed and martyrdom is also a kind of victory.”
“The epic of Ashura showed that one can be victorious at the height of being oppressed. Lady Zaynab (a.s.) should be followed as an example. This great lady of Islam is a unique role model for free and pious women of the world. Today we hear about the saga of mothers in Gaza who stand next to the torn bodies of their beloved children and shout “Sacrificed for you, O Al-Aqsa”. Words cannot express the greatness of these mothers,” she said.
Referring to the treacherous silence of international organizations and the heads of some countries, Mrs. Roknabadi added, “With this silence that targets all humanity, they have no other goal but to destroy humanity.”
“In addition to the oppression endured by the Palestinian women and children, another strange scene that has affected the world is their strength of faith and patience who are steadfast in defending their belief and homeland, and in the harsh circumstances, they consider God as their only protector and supporter,” she also said.
At the end of the interview, about the role of Palestinian women in raising a fighting and patient generation, the Director of Women’s Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Considering the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, today Palestine has become a humanitarian issue.”
