Attack on Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Kabul has no rational, religious justification: Tavakoli

On the 40th day of the terrorist attack on Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Dasht-e Barchi, Kabul, and the martyrdom of tens of innocent fasting student girls, a commemoration ceremony, organized by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, was held on Thursday, June 17, 202. The ceremony was a part of a series of AhlulBayt’s virtual meetings on the subject of “Why the Shiites are oppressed in Afghanistan; Strategies to strengthen the Shiite community.”

In the meeting, referring to the terrorist attack on Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Dasht-e Barchi, Kabul, Tavakoli, the principal of the high school said, “Terrorist attack on Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Kabul has no rational, religious justification in any religion. In this terrorist attack, about 85 fasting people were martyred in the holy month. They were the pioneers of science and knowledge and were promising a better tomorrow for Afghanistan. With white scarves, they were a symbol of peace and purity. But they rushed to their god to complain about the situation of the most oppressed people in this land.”

“The martyrs of the Kabul terrorist attack were those who, according to the religious teachings and orders of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), educating them is a religious duty. They had no sin but obedience to the command of the Prophet (p.b.u.h). The Kabul terrorist attack was the saddest of its kind, and the least recurring in the history of ongoing violence in Afghanistan. The attack shocked the world, and confused today’s sleeping people across the globe from the cruelty of the terrorists,” she continued.

“To heal the grief of the families of the martyrs of the Kabul terrorist attack, help was provided by compatriots from different parts of Afghanistan and the world, the offices of Grand Sources of Emulation, institutions, and charities, and the friendly and neighboring country, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the treatment of the injured began. Everyone, in turn, addressed some of the problems, trying to take the burden off a loved one, and alleviate the grief of another loved one,” added the principal of the Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Dasht-e Barchi, Kabul.

“The management of Sayed Al-Shuhada Girls’ High School in Dasht-e Barchi, Kabul strongly condemns the terrorist attack on this school, and wishes that practical measures be taken against such targeted attacks as soon as possible,” Tavakoli pointed out.

It should be mentioned that on the evening of Saturday, May 8, 2021, 85 people were martyred and more than 150 were injured in three consecutive explosions in front of Sayed al-Shuhada High School in the west of Kabul (Dasht-e Barchi). The bombings took place in the 13th security district west of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. As the school closed and students left, a Toyota Corolla car bomb exploded at the entrance to a clinic connected to the school. Then, as the students were fleeing, two landmines exploded in their path.
