Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “With Ashura, not only Islam, but God himself, resurrection, truth, humanity, prosperity and felicity can be proved. All beauty and moral virtues can be proven with Ashura Event.”
On Sunday morning, August 7, 2022, in the mourning ceremony on the Tasua of Imam Hussain (a.s.) (9th day of Muharram which is dedicated to commemoration of Hazrat Abalfazl al-Abbas) in the courtyard of the shrine of Lady Fatimah Okhra (a.s.), sister of Imam Reza (a.s.) in Rasht, expressing his condolences on the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Hazrat Abalfazl, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “In Ziyarat Ashura, we ask God to give us honor from the honor of Imam Hussain (a.s.).”
Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “The divine guidance in this world and the hereafter has been entrusted to Imam Hussain (a.s.). If it had not been for the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions, there would have not been anything of the love, understanding and comprehending of the religion of the Prophet (p.b.u.h).”
“According to the narrations, it is emphasized to recite the Ziyarat Ashura on religious occasions and Eids. The comprehensive and all-encompassing mercy of Imam Hussain (a.s.) brings honor to man. With Ashura, not only Islam, but God himself, resurrection, truth, humanity, prosperity, and felicity can be proved. All beauty and moral virtues can be proven with Ashura Event. God’s words about Imam Hussain (a.s.) give people hope,” he emphasized.
Emphasizing that before blaming and criticizing the others, a person should criticize himself first, Ayatollah Ramazani noted, “Sometimes we talk about and criticize others for several hours. But when we ourselves are criticized, we take a stand. We must be fair. If we criticize ourselves, we will not have time to criticize others.”
“We should consider the ceremonies for Imam Hussain (a.s.) as an opportunity to evaluate and criticize ourselves. We should seek forgiveness for all our deeds, including prayer, fasting, repentance, etc. Because compared to the worship of Imam Ali (a.s.), our worship, such as prayer and fasting, is not acceptable at all,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
On the reward of the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) he added, “There are various hadiths about the rewards of the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.). According to hadiths, whoever goes on the pilgrimage Imam Hussain (a.s.), 70 thousand angels who are always in prayer, will send the reward of their prayer to that pilgrim. The reward of going on pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) is equal to one thousand Zakat.”
“Also, the reward of a person who goes on the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) is equal to 100 thousand accepted Hajj with the Prophet (p.b.u.h). The reward of each pilgrim’s step for Imam Hussain (a.s.) is equal to one Hajj. If someone goes on the pilgrimage of the Imam, its reward equals to the reward of a thousand accepted alms giving,” Ayatollah Ramazani pointed out.
“Whoever goes on the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) will have a reward equal to the reward of one thousand fasting people, one thousand martyrs of Battle of Badr, and the releasing of one thousand slaves,” noted the member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“The story of Imam Hussain (a.s.) is not limited to Ashura. Rather, it is a widespread story from Adam to Khatam (p.b.u.h). All the divine prophets have cried and grieved for Imam Hussain (a.s.),” continued the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“The pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) has many blessings for humans. Eating soil is forbidden in Islam, but the use of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) turbat heals,” he emphasized.
“Imam Hussain (a.s.) is a light for guidance and a ship for salvation. If anyone can get into the ship, he will surely be saved, and he will benefit from God’s grace,” Ayatollah Ramazani said in the end.
