ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, ABNA reporter conducted an interview with the head of Fitrah International Institute.
About the objectives of establishing the Fitrah International Institute, Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Chegini stated, “Due to the importance of propagating (Islam) in English language social networks, the initial stage of this institute was formed 6 years ago.”
“When keywords such as Fadak or Ghadir are Googled, the search results are mainly from the content published by Wahhabis. Unfortunately, seminaries have not yet concluded that standard English content should be produced and published in the international arena. Only publishing content on personal and low-visited websites and pages will not help,” he added.
“The lack of content in English on the Internet made us advance at the same time as Wahhabism,” Chegini continued, “First, we monitored professional question and answer sites on Yahoo or Google, and while identifying important questions in various fields, we started producing English content.”
“Only after a few months, our efforts paid off. So that the activities of our group, higher than Wahhabi groups, were registered as official and expert answers,” said the head of the Fitrah International Institute.
“During the last five years, we faced challenges that slowed down the activity of our institution,” he said, “Unfortunately, financial problems cause the activities of small institutions to disperse.”
“I hope this exhibition will be an opportunity for the Fitrah International Institute, so that its achievement be seen by the relevant authorities, and they support the small organizations,” he concluded.
It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from today, December 31, 2022, until January 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
It is worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.
The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
