On the anniversary of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.), walking ceremony and mourning processions were held in different cities of Pakistan. Mourning sessions and walk were held all over the country with the presence of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) enthusiasts, both Shiites and Sunnis.
Arbaeen walk in Karachi
The Arbaeen ceremony of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and martyrs of Karbala was held in Karachi as well as in other parts of Pakistan.
In Nashtar Park, Karachi, a mourning meeting was held by Pak Muharram Association, where Hojat a-Islam Sayed Shahshanshah Hussain Naqvi, a prominent Pakistani orator and a member of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, described the sufferings of the martyrs of Karbala.
Thousands of mourners, including women, children and the elderly, participated in a procession to commemorate Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions in Karachi.
In this walk, which was organized by the Pakistan Imamiyah Students Organization, noon congregational prayer was held under the Imamate of Hojat al-Islam Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi.
After the prayer, the mourners of Imam Hussain (a.s.) protested against America and Israel and chanted slogans against them and burned their flags.
The mourners also protested the arrest and kidnapping of Shiites, as well as the indifference (of the authorities) to the situation of the missing.
Along the walking route, mourners were treated with water, milk and syrup.
Arbaeen walk in Lahore
Walking on the occasion of Arbaeen was also held in different areas of Lahore and a large number of mourners on foot from different areas of the city reached “Karbala of Gameh Shah” in the center of Lahore.
The mourners were lamenting while holding the flag of Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) and the city was filled with slogans of “Labbayk Ya Hussain (a.s.)”.
Arbaeen walk in Multan
For the first time in Multan, on the occasion of Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.), a Quranic session was organized by the Department of Quran Reciting of Al-Noor Islamic Center, in which male and female participants recited the Holy Quran.
In this program, Hojat al-Islam and Wasim Abbas Masoumi, the head of Al-Noor Islamic Center, stated, “This Mowkeb has been launched for the first time in the history of Multan, and its main purpose is to create enthusiasm for Quranic teachings and recitation of the holy book. Teaching Quran is in fact conveying the message of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).”
Arbaeen walk in Hyderabad
The Hazrat Imam Asr (a.s.) Seminary of Hyderabad, in the Nasim Negar crossroad of the city launched the Mowkeb of Labbayk Ya Hussain (a.s.).
In this Mowkeb, the mourners were welcomed and hosted. After the congregational prayer under the Imamate of Hojat al-Islam Karam Ali Haydari, thousands of people participated in the walk and mourning processions. /345/
