On the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr commanders of the Resistance, General Qasem Soleimani, and Haj Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, a commemoration was held at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University.
Ayatollah Reza Ramazani delivered a speech at this mystical gathering, which was held on the anniversary of the martyrdom of these two commanders.
“According to the Supreme Leader, Haj Qasem Soleimani is the most national and international figure among (Islamic Ummah),” he said, “From the day of his martyrdom, a new chapter was opened in the international Resistance.”
“Today, his spiritual and intellectual presence is fully manifested,” continued the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“The Islamic Ummah, but also all humanity shed tears in his mourning and now they remember his memory. In some countries, such as India, more than 100 commemorations were held after his martyrdom” he said, referring to the global reflection of General Soleimani’s martyrdom.
“There has never been a person in contemporary history for whom such a commemorating has been held. Shiites, Sunnis, Muslims and non-Muslims, followers of different religions, held ceremonies for him and honored his memory,” stated the former president of the European Union of Shiite scholars and theologians.
“We do need to cherish the memory of that dear martyr,” he stated, “Because he was a hero to fight the assassins. Haj Qasem himself said, ‘I am not a murderer, but I oppose murderers and tyrants’.”
“He confronted those who behaved arrogantly and colonized and exploited human society. This is a high position,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, referring to Haj Qasem’s championships.
“Despite his fierce struggle against the Takfiris, terrorists and the perpetrators of violence, he was the kindest person to the children of the martyrs. Against the oppressors, infidels, and enemies, he was an invincible power, while he was merciful and compassionate to the children of Islam, and in the end, God Almighty granted him martyrdom,” he said, referring to gentle spirit of General Soleimani.
“At the end of his letter to Malik Ashtar, Imam Ali (a.s.) asked God to grant him and Malik martyrdom. Because the path of God is a difficult path, and it must be paid for. One of the most important expenses is the sacrifice of life and property by man to the God. The God and love of Martyr Soleimani was the right path of God. He was on the right path. That is why today we see that the influence of this martyr is even greater than the time of his life,” the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly continued.
“There are two chapters in the life of General Soleimani to be studied. One chapter is his lifetime, and the other is the time after his martyrdom. Now, after his martyrdom, the influence of Martyr Soleimani is not less, if not more than his lifetime. This influence, especially in the field of international resistance, exists not only among Muslims, but among all freedom-seekers in the world. Now, the Resistance Mujahideen are following the example of Martyr Soleimani. He was the commander of hearts. Martyr Soleimani considered himself a servant of God. So, others obeyed him,” Ayatollah Ramezani added.
“This martyr had reached a charismatic, spiritual, emotional, rational and jihadi personality, and this is an outstanding point to study. He was a good person who could not be fully recognized in one or two sessions, and it took a long time to get to know Martyr Soleimani,” he said, referring to the need to study the character of Martyr Soleimani.
Saying that, ethics is one of the fields of study of the present age, Ayatollah Ramazani clarified, “Today, various terms are used for this field, including the philosophy of ethics, Islamic religious ethics, etc., and each of these terms has an interpretation.
“In recent decades, the term normative ethics has been widely used. Applied, professional, student, clerical, brokerage, and various ethics can be included under professional ethics. Today, these terms are used in various areas internationally. Professional ethics or applied ethics is one of the most diverse branches of the field of ethics in the general sense of the word,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Ethics deals with inner requirements and draws our attention to what we must be behaviorally, morally, and educationally committed to. Professional ethics is behavior that from outside of us is expected. In a campus environment, there are expectations from a student, professor, staff member, or dean and vice dean. A person who is a president, or the head of a branch of power in a country (legislative, executive, and judiciary), or is in charge anywhere else, is expected to behave in a certain way. Of course, the source of these behaviors must be internal,” he continued.
“Man must train himself in such a way that he can perform best in the external arenas of the tasks assigned to him, and this is very important. From the Islamic point of view, it is important that these matters have an internal origin. That is, man should train his soul,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, referring to the importance of educating human beings in the field of ethics.
“The best, most important and necessary knowledge is the knowledge that trains the human soul. The most necessary knowledge is the knowledge that introduces man in such a way that he knows the good of the human heart and removes from it what causes the corruption of the heart. We must start from ourselves. This is one of the requirements that man must pay attention for himself. It is stated in the narrations that man must find his lost soul,” he mentioned.
