Hojat al-Islam Hashim Konati, a professor at Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) International University from Ivory Coast, referring to Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) lofty goals of rising against the tyrant of time, expressed, “According to God’s statement in the Holy Qur’an and the Islamic teachings, the righteous and the faithful will inherit the future of the earth and its rule.”
“Arbaeen is the confirmation and realization of the objectives and ideals of Imam Hussain (a.s.) for which he was willing to sacrifice his life and drink the sweet nectar of martyrdom,” Konati added.
“Many Muslims from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, as well as African, European, and American countries, and other parts of the world participate in the Arbaeen Great Walk,” Hashem Konati stated, “Going on the Arbaeen pilgrimage and enduring the hardships of this journey means responding the call of Imam Hussain (a.s.).”
“As we all know, the purpose of Imam Hussain (a.s.) of his uprising was to overthrow the oppressive and arrogant government of his time, and leave it to the righteous, so that Muslims can live together in justice and peace,” he added.
“Silence in the face of the oppression of a person like Yazid leads to the annihilation of the Islam, and perceived as the satisfaction with this matter,” Konati stressed.
“The Arbaeen Walk is a prelude to establishment of the righteous rule,” Sheikh Konati expressed, “Considering the great potential of bringing together the enthusiasts of Imam Hussain (a.s.), the Arbaeen Walk with millions of participants, can be a prelude to realizing the lofty objectives of Islam.”
“It is necessary for the followers of all Islamic schools of thought to participate in the Arbaeen ceremony to keep the ideals and goals of Imam Hussain (a.s.) alive by renewing their pledge and allegiance to him,” he said in the end.
