Kenyan youth got acquainted with ABWA’s activities

In a meeting with a group of Kenyan Muslim youth, the officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly introduced the activities of the Assembly.

ABWA Official Website – In the meeting of some officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly with a group of young Muslims at Jafari Islamic Center in Nairobi, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mahdi Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, introduced the various sections of this department, especially the General Directorate of Cyberspace.

Nabaa application, Rahnama portal, digital library, and WikiShia were among the products and portals that Dr. Farmanian introduced to the Kenyan youth. Also, 40 GB of digital content of Islamic teachings in 36 languages were presented to them.

In this meeting, Hojat al-Islam Waliullah Mandaripour, Director General of Education Affairs of the Scientific and Cultural Department of the Assembly, also announced his readiness to hold training courses on various subjects online and offline.

Further, Mohammad Kazem Kazemi, director of Al-Thaqalayn satellite TV, while saying that this channel operates in Arabic, stated, “Diversity in media products and attention to social networks has been one of the recent approaches of Al-Thaqalayn satellite TV.”

In another part of this meeting, Hassan Sadraei Aref, head of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International News Agency, referring to the activities of the News Agency in 26 languages, said, “English, Swahili, Hausa, and French, with which many people of Africa are familiar, are among the languages which ABNA News Agency operates in. Working in the international environment and producing media content by local colleagues and companions is one of ABNA’s serious policies in the new phase of the News Agency’s activities.

It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of this meeting, Kenyan youth, many of whom were media and virtual space activists, expressed their views on the necessity of using media and virtual space to propagate religious teachings.
