Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) gathered two generations of Prophethood and Imamate: Shafi’i Nia

41st pre-conference of the International Conference “Hazrat Abu Talib, Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” was held on Saturday morning March 6, 2021, virtually and in-person in Qom. The session was organized by Zorria al-Nabawia Research Institute and Research Institute of on Proximity of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and was held in the form of Webinar “The role of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and the Talebian from the point of view of Allameh Sayed Mohammad Mehdi Kharsan”.

“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) has a distinguished and influential personality who gathered two generations of Prophethood and Imamate; Two generations that, if they are not, according to the law of wisdom, God’s creation will be challenged,” stated the chairman of the Islamic Unity Institute, referring to the role of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) in establishing and foresighting the prophetic mission.

“Among the elders of the ancestors of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and his uncles, no one, not even Abdullah (a.s.), the father of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), has the position of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). The Sadat (plural of Sayyid) are a potential that, if gathered, could stand up to enemies. Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was a Hashemi Sayed who is also known as the head of the Alavi Sadat dynasty,” continued Hojat al-Islam Ahmad Shafi’i Nia.

“Contrary to popular belief, we consider the children of Imam Ali (a.s.) to be the children of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), and there is no difference between Sadat, whether from the descendants of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Hazrat Zahra (a.s.) or from the descendants of Abu Talib (a.s.). The number of Sadat whose generation ends with Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is more than other Sadat, and many of them are Sunni. We must inform the results of this conference to these Sadat so that there will no longer be any Talebi Sayed Sunni who believes that his ancestor Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) was a Mushrik (polytheist). In that case, such people will not accept that Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), a friend and companion of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) was a Mushrik,” he added.

“The suspicion of Shirk (polytheism) was raised about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). However, if the life of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is examined, the divine method in the life of this Tawhidi (monotheistic) man can obviously be seen. Establishing the invitation and guaranteeing the future are two great things that God and Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) did for the Prophet (p.b.u.h). The invitation of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had two material and spiritual elements that had to be established. In the period when the enemies of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) were more than friends, the human element of the invitation of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was limited to Imam Ali (a.s.) and Hazrat Khadijeh (a.s.), and for this reason, the invitation of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) must be consolidated by God,” stated Shafi’i Nia, referring to the doubts raised about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).

“In the first verses of Surah Al-Duha, God addressed the Prophet (p.b.u.h) as saying, “We did not leave you alone.” In these verses, in addition to depicting the problems of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), God showed the solution at the same time to Prophet. In Surah Al-Duha, God said to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) that you were an orphan, but We made you famous, you were poor, but We made you rich,” he continued.

“The power of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and the wealth of Hazrat Khadijeh (a.s.) strengthened the invitation of the Prophet (p.b.u.h). Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) said in the Lamia ode, ‘I swear by God, it is a crude fantasy that I, Abu Talib, will leave the Prophet; but I will sacrifice all my possessions for the Prophet’,” pointed out the chairman of the Islamic Unity Institute.
