Missionaries need to pay special attention to new generation, the youth: Ayatollah Ramazani

The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Missionaries need to know the literature and discourse of interaction with a specific audience. In this regard, the missionary should learn how to answer questions and doubts.”

In this meeting, after welcoming the guests, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, about the position of the propagation of Islam, stated, “Today, in global developments, paying attention to various methods, tools, and audiences of propagation of Islam is of high importance.”

Emphasizing the need for missionaries and propagation methods to be up to date, he said, “Missionaries today have heavy duties. The representative office of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Iraq has a good propagation capacity in terms of quantity and quality.”

Addressing the directors of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly of Iraq, he stated, “It is necessary to compile a textbook for propagation, which includes propagation skills in detail.”

“Missionaries need to know the literature and discourse of interaction with a specific audience. In this regard, the missionary should learn how to answer questions and doubts,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Create a propagational channel for yourself in virtual space and include headlines and topics on different occasions. For example, in the middle of Shaban (birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi(a.s.)), talk about Mahdism and deviations in this regard,” he said, as a suggestion to the Iraqi missionaries.

“Iraqi missionaries should create and manage the Shiite missionary network in the country. The Assembly also can hold virtual or face-to-face training courses for Iraqi clergy and clerics who are interested in being active in the virtual space and media,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Emphasizing the need for missionaries to exchange opinions, he added, “Every year before the first ten days of the month of Muharram, before the month of Ramadan, and before the Arbaeen Great Walk, Iraqi missionaries need to hold conferences, in which preaching methods and topics that need to be followed up are discussed.”

Also, emphasizing the need for missionaries to pay special attention to the new generation, adolescents, and the youth, the seminary professor said, “Unfortunately, we have not had enough programs for adolescents and the youth, and we have neglected these age groups. Therefore, we must have a plan about the methods of attracting the youth and the quality of communication with them.”

Referring to the necessity of knowing the kind of audience, he said, “Today, the youth deal with cyberspace and are familiar with doubts. Therefore, we should talk to them in a reasoned way. Also, we need to know what methods and ways the enemy influences the youth. We must identify these methods and ways and find a way to confront them.”

“To present propagational methods in the international arena, a book should be prepared as a textbook in this regard. Considering the importance of ethics nowadays, books and works on professional ethics should be compiled in fields such as commerce, trade, etc. Also, since the methods of propagation are different in the international arena, a book should be written about this,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Regarding the position of the preacher, he said, “The missionary has the position of a prophet. Therefore, we should consider a spiritual position for people who are active in propagating Islam. Also, the preacher should convey the merits and teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.) to society through preaching, and answer doubts and questions. Because many doubts are raised today.”

About the need for seminaries’ attention to the issue of propagating Islam, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The Supreme Leader of the Revolution recently said that the first concern of the seminaries should be propagating Islam. Unfortunately, the propagation of Islam is not the first priority of Qom and Najaf seminaries.”

In another part of his speech, referring to the Zionist attacks on the oppressed people of Gaza, he said, “Today we are facing various developments in the world arena, and it is necessary to see and manifest part of these developments in propagation. Therefore, we should know with what literature we should defend the oppressed people of Palestine, especially in situations where the Zionist regime seeks to play the victim. This fake regime has the first place in the world in playing the victim. They stressed so much about the Holocaust in the world that today if anyone denies it in Germany and Austria, they will be sentenced to several years in prison.”

“In the recent attacks also, the Zionist regime plays the victim, especially because the giant media empire is at their disposal, and with this means they do whatever they want,” continued the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In the end, he pointed out the importance of the Jihad of Enlightening and appreciated the presence of the guests and the efforts of the officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in holding training courses.

At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Hojat al-Islam Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly presented a report about the activities of his respective department. Then, Hojat al-Islam Madanipour, Director General of the Department of Education of the AhlulBayt (a.s.)
