With the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, women found a special status: Ayatollah Modarresi

Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Taqi al-Modarresi stated, “With the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, women got a special status to participate in social arenas. More attention should be paid to women’s society. Also, women’s seminaries should be strengthened.”

ABWA Official Website – Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Taqi al-Modarresi, in a meeting with Ayatollah Ramezani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, while pointing out the strengthening and complexity of communication in today’s world, stated, “Instead of becoming guests of civilizations, and sitting at the table of others, we should create civilization ourselves and be pioneers in emerging fields.”

“With the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, women got a special status to participate in social arenas. More attention should be paid to women’s society. Also, women’s seminaries should be strengthened, and at the same time as planning for women’s roles in the social arena, we must pay special attention to Muslim women’s identity, hijab, and religious issues,” he said.

“The role of education is very strategic and crucial,” Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi stated, “Schools educate future mothers, therefore, the educational staff in Islamic countries needs regeneration and transformation.”

Further in this meeting, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Today, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings and Resistance Thought have been promoted significantly, and the social sphere of Islam is becoming more and more prominent.”

This meeting was also attended by Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and a group of managers of the Assembly, as well as a number of Iraqi Shiite figures. /345/
