Success of obedience, abstinence from sin, sign of divine satisfaction: Ayatollah Ramazani

In the 27th episode of the special internet program “Facing the Sky”, which is broadcast on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani Gilani stated, “In terms of quantity and quality, believing life is different from unbelieving life.”

Stating that divine pleasure is important for believers, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Just as man expects the employer to be pleased with him in his workplace, so it is important for the faithful servants of God that God be pleased with him in the system of existence and worship.”

“Man should strive for all his deeds and affairs to be pleasing to God, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the Infallibles (a.s.),” he emphasized, pointing out that it is impossible to count and list the divine blessings.

“Obedience to the orders of the religion and the infallible Imams (a.s.) is one of the things that lead to the pleasure of God,” Ayatollah Ramazani clarified, saying that the Infallible Imams (a.s.) are the manifestation of the Jamal (Beauty) and Jalal (Glory) of God.

“God never needs the obedience or disobedience of the servants; rather the benefit or loss of each of these cases goes back to servants themselves,” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“God is pleased with those who are pious and obedient and not self-indulgent and materialistic,” he emphasized, pointing out that some people in the world are only looking for eating, drinking and sleeping, and some kind of self-indulgence.

“Sometimes our behavior towards others is bitter and wrong, and because we have not been able to educate ourselves, we have to ask God for forgiveness,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, emphasizing that human beings have many flaws, and they should always ask God for forgiveness for their sins.

“Humans certainly cannot thank God for the blessings bestowed upon them,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, considering humility and giving alms as the cause of God’s pleasure.

“Success in obeying God, and abstaining from sins, are among the signs of pleasing God,” he stated, referring to the signs of divine satisfaction.

“Being thankful, and not complaining, are of the things that please God,” added Ayatollah Ramazani, saying that God is pleased with those who obey His commands.

“Man must have constant remembrance (of God),” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts, emphasizing that gratitude for divine blessings leads to human development.

“When a person realizes that divine love is in his heart, it means that God is pleased with him,” he stated.

“Certainly, God has a special view of those who do justice, especially those who in charge and officials,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, pointing out that the just behavior of man is pleasing to God.

“If God is pleased with someone, he will succeed in servitude,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stating that justice will make consistency in the society.

“We hope that God provides us the sustenance so we can please Him,” he concluded, “One of the most important signs of believers is to obtain God’s pleasure.”
