ABWA Documentation Center to be Launched: Official

The Deputy for Science and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly announced the launch of the Assembly Documentation Center in the middle of Shaaban (February 2025) this year.

ABWA Official Website – The unveiling ceremony of the latest publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the inauguration of the Children and Youth Section of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Teachings Network was held in the conference hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In a speech at the ceremony, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mahdi Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the unveiling of the Assembly’s latest works, said, “According to the studies conducted in 2022, we found that we have 514 unfinished translations, some of which we completed and published in 2023. This year, we have planned to publish 120 books, and today, 60 books in 11 languages will be unveiled. We are trying to translate and publish another 60 books by the end of this (Hijri Shamsi) year (March 2025).”

“The assembly no longer prints books inside Iran,” he continued, “This year, we have established agreements with publishers in various countries around the world to print 114 books at their own expense.”

Regarding the activities of the WikiShia encyclopedia, Dr. Farmanian, said, “In the first eight months of this year, 3,393 new entries in 22 languages ​​have been created on WikiShia. Also, a network called the “International Network of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Teachings” was launched last year, which, in addition to being a digital library, also provides networking. We have placed 1,500 works about children and adolescents in 25 languages ​​on this network, and this number is increasing daily. We are also looking to unveil the Children and Adolescents section of the network. In addition to the above, we have created a section entitled “Islam without Intermediary” in this network, which includes 5,600 books.”

Referring to the works of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the Assembly stated, “We have made the works of the Assembly, including books and magazines, available on the International Network of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Teachings.”

“The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has equipped various centers worldwide and holds at least 10 classes a day for the world Shiites, some of which are virtual and some in person in the audience countries. This year, the Assembly also donated 18,000 books to various centers,” he continued.

Regarding the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lifestyle, Farmanian said, “The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has started a major work entitled “AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lifestyle. “We hope that in the coming years, books will be written and published on this subject for the Shiite audience worldwide. The Assembly has also held 12 meetings to empower AhlulBayt (a.s.) activists in the field of artificial intelligence. We have also held five training camps for scholars, leaders, and cultural managers from different countries.”

In the end, the Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, said, “We have established a documentation center in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and have so far collected about 100,000 documents in it. We are looking to launch the Documentation Center of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the middle of Shaaban (February 2025) this year.”
