ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, ABNA reporter interviewed Hojat al-Islam Qamar Mahdi, in charge of the booth of the “Taha Institute”.
Regarding the activities of Taha Institute, he said, “The headquarter of our institute, which was established twenty years ago, is India, and we produce scientific and cultural content in Qom.”
“Taha Institute active in educational, cultural and welfare fields in India. In the education section, Taha Institute has a school, and published monthly “Maryam” magazine for 12 years. We also provide educational scholarships for underprivileged children. Regarding the welfare sector, doctors affiliated to Taha clinic go to deprived villages and cities. Another activity of Taha Institute was that it distributed thousands of livelihood packages to the needy during all the outbreaks of Covid-19,” added the exhibitor of the Taha Institute booth in the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition.
Regarding the scientific works of Taha Institute, he said, “Taha Institute has authored and published more than 25 books so far. We are also active in the field of translation and have translated some works of martyr Motahari, including Jihad, and Dastan Rastan (True Stories). Also, the works of Iranian and Indian ulama on various topics such as Velayat al-Faqih, Nahj al-Balagha, AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the philosophy of Ashura have been translated and published in Taha Institute. Of course, most of the institute’s works are in Urdu and Hindi languages, although some works are published in English.”
While asking for material and spiritual support from Taha Institute, Hojat al-Islam Qamar Mahdi about Lights of Guidance exhibition expressed, “Holding such exhibitions is appreciable, but it could have been better. I suggest that before holding the exhibition, more explanation about the framework of the programs and the structure of the exhibition is provided for the participants. We had no idea that the exhibition would be held in this style. We were only told that centers and organizations would be allocated two or three booths, and we did not know which centers would participate in the exhibition. Brochures can also be used to introduce booths.”
It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.
The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
