We look to hold “Lights of Guidance” exhibition in the coming years: Samadi

The executive secretary of “Lights of Guidance” exhibition stated, “The exhibition opened on December 31, 2022, at the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and was active for 6 days.”

Referring to the monitoring of cultural institutions active in the international arena, Hossein Samadi stated, “A list of 100 cultural institutions was prepared, and eventually we reached agreement with about 40 institutions to participate in the exhibition.”

“The exhibition opened on December 31, 2022, at the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and was active for 6 days,” he added, “During the exhibition, various guests from seminary and university institutions visited the booths and cultural achievements of the institutions.”

“In the opening ceremony, Dr. Mahdi Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly presented a brief report on the procedures and process of holding the exhibition. Further, Ayatollah Ramazani, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, addressed the participants as the main speaker of the event,” added the executive secretary of “Lights of Guidance” exhibition.

“On the sidelines of the exhibition, scientific sessions were held with international topics, such as “international opportunities of religion in the cyberspace”, “introduction of Shia in the international arena; Opportunities and Challenges”, “Educational capacities of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and India”, “Shia in Sudan, latest cultural, political developments of the country”, and “The effect of translated works in publishing AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings”. Also, a press conference was held with the presence of 20 media and news agencies, in which Dr. Farmanian explained the activities of the Lights of Guidance exhibition to the media,” Samadi continued.

About holding the exhibition in coming years, he said, “Considering the opinions of the visitors and the requests of cultural institutions, we are deciding on annual holding of the Lights of Guidance exhibition after examining its strengths and weaknesses, so that the activities of cultural organizations active in the international arena are exhibited in a more specialized way.”

It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” was held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.

It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.

The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
