Referring to the fact that God opens the doors of His mercy during the holy month of Ramadan, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Man must always hope for divine mercy, and despair of divine mercy is a great sin.”
In the eighth episode of the special internet program “Facing the Sky”, which is broadcast on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out that Ramadan is the month of God’s feast, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani Gilani stated, “The month of God’s feast helps man to distance himself from sin.”
“In this supplication and some others, we ask God not to expose us to disobedience,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the supplication of the sixth day of the holy month of Ramadan.
“If God is present in human life, sin will certainly disappear,” he clarified, stating that sin has a deterrent role.
“The less God is present in human life, existence, and belief, the more sin is present. Sin, in fact, somehow widens the gap between man and God,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.
“Man’s actions put him on the path of conduct. God has paved the way, and it is we who have made the path difficult,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, pointing out that this is a man who separates himself from God by his deeds.
“If the remembrance of God is present in different parts of human life, such as the workplace, the family, etc., there will definitely be less sin,” he stated.
“Despair causes man to be present in all areas of sin,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to examples of sin, including polytheism, infidelity, hypocrisy, lying, despair of divine mercy, and disownment by parents.
“If God is not present in man’s life, he will despair and life will be hard for him,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, emphasizing that man should always hope for divine mercy.
“If a young person is disowned by his parents, then all the calamities and problems will befall him. We should all observe the rights of parents,” he emphasized regarding disownment by parents.
“Other great sins are eating the property of orphans, lying, adultery, etc., which cause the man to be separated from God,” pointed out Ayatollah Ramazani, saying that not performing family reunition, or cutting off relations with relatives and not meeting them, is one of the great sins.
“The Satan is disappointed with his role in this holy month.,” emphasized the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, pointing out that God opens the doors of His mercy in the holy month of Ramadan.
“During the holy month of Ramadan, God has taken away the grounds that are provided for Satan in other months,” he continued.
“In the month of God’s feast, there is less sin and more remembrance of God,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, emphasizing maintaining the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan.
