ABWA Official Website – Attended by the children of the martyrs, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Governor of Qom, and the Director General of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, the ceremony of “Heavenly Fathers” was held in the Imam Khomeini Cultural Complex in Qom.
In this ceremony, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Enemies tried to enslave human society in different ways. But the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) emancipated human society from slavery and fulfilled this divine mission in the best way.”
Stating that some students of Imam Khomeini’s school were present in the Holy Defense (Iraq-Iran 8-year imposed war), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani added, “In the Holy Defense, there were martyrs who first comprehend martyrdom in the true sense, then attained the position of martyrdom. Because this path is not easy for everyone to follow.”
“One of the characteristics of the students of Imam Khomeini’s school was sincerity, and according to hadiths, sincerity is the best victory,” he continued.
Also, in the continuation of this ceremony, while congratulating the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the holidays of the month of Rajab, and commemorating the memory of the martyrs, the governor of Qom said, “The victory of the Islamic Revolution owes to the pure blood of the martyrs, as well as the patience and sacrifice of the families of the great martyrs.”
“The memory, name, and path of the martyrs should be kept alive in society. The path of the martyrs should not be forgotten. Martyrs are always alive and watching over our actions. This Revolution will continue strongly and will be handed over to its original owner (Imam Mahdi (a.s.)),” added Sayed Mohammad Taghi Shahcheraghi, the governor of Qom.
Also, the General Director of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs of Qom Province expressed in this ceremony, “Martyrs were men who fought on the fronts of right against wrong; they were selfless, brave, loyal, selfless, responsible and insightful men.”
“The martyrs shielded their chests against the bullets of the enemies’ hatred to defend the religion of Islam, the safety and comfort of all the children of Iran, but they did not let a single part of this soil fall into the hands of the enemies,” Hojat al-Islam Hassan Honarmand added.
“Today, the children of the martyrs, are their heirs on the scientific, cultural, and social fronts,” he stated, “They are the continuers of the path of their heavenly fathers and the promoters of the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom.”
The ceremony continued with the performance of the Mithaq hymn group, the recital of a martyr’s son, eulogy and praise (of AhlulBayt (a.s.)), holding a competition, and at the end, praying for the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) (Dua Faraj).
At the end of this ceremony, the families and servants of the martyrs paid their respects to the graves of more than 3000 martyrs in Ali Bin Jafar Cemetery with flower branches. /345/
