“If Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was not with the Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Mushrekin (polytheists) would not have allowed the Prophet (p.b.u.h) to call to Islam and it was even possible that they would have killed him,” stated the Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.

The opening ceremony of the International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), started, Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021, in the Quds Hall of Imam Khomeini Complex in Qom.

“Hazrat Abu Talib was a supporter of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and he supported the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). He was the chief of the Bani Hashem tribe and had a special place among the Quraysh. He was with the Prophet of Islam during his 10 years in Mecca, after his Be’that,” said the Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hojat al-Islam Sheikh “Naeem Qasim”, during his speech at the ceremony, referring to the services of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) to Islam.

“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was a supporter of the mission and encouraged his son, Ja’far, to say prayers behind the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). He also confirmed the action of his brother Hazrat Hamza (a.s.) to believe in the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h),” he added.

“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) along with Bani Hashim were under economic sanctions in the Sh’eb of Abi Talib from the seventh to the tenth year of the Be’thaat. When Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) passed away in the tenth year of the Be’that, the Prophet (p.b.u.h) called that year a Year of Sorrow, and said, “I will intercede for my uncle.” What higher reason than this is for the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.)? He has a special place,” stated Naim Qassem, referring to She’b (Valley) of Abi Talib (during the Quraysh boycott on Bani Hashem, Prophet Muhammad, and his followers.)
