The Deputy for International Affairs of the Seminaries said, “The Arbaeen ceremony plays a strategic role in bringing together ulama and leaders of divine religions. Humanity today suffers from crises such as unilateralism, war, and racial discrimination.”
ABWA Official Website – On Monday evening, August 5, 2024, the webinar “The Role of Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in the Solidarity of the Followers of Divine Religions” was held by the Qademoon International Assembly with the presence of intellectuals and experts.
In this conference, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mofid Hosseini Koohsari, Deputy for International Affairs of the Seminaries stated that humanity today is facing many crises and challenges and is suffering from them. “Therefore, mankind today expects divine religions to hold his hand so that he can safely pass this stage. Today, we are witnessing crises such as unilateralism, tyranny, war and bloodshed, poverty and corruption, racial discrimination, weakening of the family, human solitude, and environmental problems, etc. that humanity is facing. The Westerners offered a civilization to mankind, the product of which are the mentioned challenges.
“Therefore, to overcome the current crisis, there is a need for the convergence and unity of religious leaders. In fact, a united monotheistic front of monotheistic ulama and intellectuals should be formed to realize values such as spirituality, morality, rationality, and justice in the world in the true sense. The teachings of religions provide a basis for people to become dignified and realize their identity,” Hosseini Koohsari added.
“The teachings of religions provide the ground for human beings to become dignified and realize their identity. Therefore, it should be recalled that Arbaeen is one of the most important examples and models that can give hope to today’s mankind in the future. More than 25 million people of different religions and races from all over the world participate in the Arbaeen Great Walk in Iraq, where nothing but ethics, humanity, spirituality, and honor can be seen. All these people gather under the banner of Imam Hussain (a.s.). Therefore, in this ceremony, we witness only the height of the ideals of divine religions,” he said.
Hosseini Koohsari said that Western media outlets are trying hard to boycott the call of Arbaeen. “In fact, the leaders of the arrogant world are worried about the spread of justice and spirituality, and they do not want the world to move towards the formation of a moral and humane civilization and Arbaeen to become global.”
At the end of his speech, the Deputy for International Affairs of the Seminaries said, “Arbaeen ceremony can play an effective role for the unity of scholars and leaders of divine religions. We must remember that the Arbaeen ceremony, in addition to looking at the past and Imam Hussain (a.s.), also pays attention to the lifestyle of today and the future of mankind and provides the basis for hope and life.”
