In this meeting, expressing his appreciation for the valuable activities of the Imamate International Foundation, Ayatollah Ramazani considered the revival of the school of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain (r.a.) necessary. “In addition to the theological school, he was also an expert in Fiqh. Therefore, attention should be paid to all his great works. Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain’s scientific actions are very rich and blessed to the extent that writing such works is a difficult and exhausting task even for research organizations and institutions today,” he said.

“Research accuracy, based on documentation, by quoting from multiple sources, are among the characteristic features of Islamic scholars in creating research works. Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain’s works in the field of Imamate are rare, or even unique. So that these works can be presented as a valuable source for all researchers and those interested in topics related to Imamate,” he expressed.

“Revival of the school of the author of the book “Abaqat al-Anwar” means the revival of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in India. Knowing more about Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain leads to an extended motivation to review and revive his precious works, and as a result, leads to strengthening the activities of seminaries in the international arena,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Today, we need to theoretically and practically address the Islamic unity as one of the strategies of the Islamic government. The unity of Islamic societies will lead to the authority of Muslims in economic, political, cultural, and security fields. The revival of the works of the author of the book “Abaqat al-Anwar” strengthens the strategies of the Islamic government,” Ayatollah Ramazani pointed out.

“Allamah Mir Hamid Hussain tried to present the Imamate as the unity axis of the Islamic world, and in addition to proving the scientific and spiritual authority of the Imams (a.s.), he also proved their political authority,” he added.

Emphasizing the political discourse of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Two important political strategies in the intellectual system of AhlulBayt (a.s.) can be extracted from the Ghadir Khumm event. The first is to emphasize the participation of people in the field of politics and the determination of their future, and the second is to choose the best people for each position in the government. These are among the important teachings of this event.”

“The fight against distortion and division was one of the valuable actions of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain. For a long time, the enemy’s strategy to infiltrate Islamic societies has been to create division and discord. Allameh explained well the methods of fighting division, and with an inter-religious view of existing issues, he opened this knot of society in his time,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

Referring to the difference in theological and jurisprudential definitions of imamate, he considered the most beautiful interpretation of theological imamate to be from the book “Abaqat al-Anwar” by Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain (r.a.).

“We should not consider imams (as) only for Shiites with a narrow view. An Imam who is introduced as the successor of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h) with all the attributes and characteristics is the “Imam of the Muslims”. It is not appropriate to limit Infallible Imams (a.s.) to the Shiite thought systems in practical terms and to restrict this valuable position,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In another part of his speech, emphasizing the importance of studying and recognizing the seminary of India, Ayatollah Ramazani reminded, “Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain was one of the most prominent figures who advocate the proximity of Islamic schools of thought in his time, and while respecting the different sects in India, he could spread the idea of Imamate in his society and brought the society with him.”

“Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain revived the Imamate in Quranic form in the literal sense of the word. Imamate and leadership have always been the most important topic in the Islamic world, and Allamah Mir Hamid Hussain shined in this field and described Imamate as an independent theological issue,” he stated.

While praising the revival of the Shiite heritage in the Indian subcontinent, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the importance of redefining seminary and university theses and dissertations about the enduring heritage of Indian ulama.

At the end of his speech, Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized the importance of pooling capacities in dynamic and effective measures. “The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly declares its readiness to develop cooperation for the revival of lasting Shiite heritage in all parts of the world, especially in the Indian subcontinent and Asia,” he expressed.

Further in this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam, Dr. Mohammad Taqi Subhani, director of Imamate International Foundation, stated, “The late Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain led the studies and research on Imamate and defense of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and we are all indebted to this precious figure in this area and answering the related doubts.”

Pointing to the challenge of the lack of suitable copies and the scatteredness of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain’s works, he mentioned the lack of access to a significant part of the sources related to Allameh as the important problem of this path.

Referring to the background of the family of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain and the thoughts of the scholars of this family, Subhani stated, “We encountered the civilization of more than 100 years of Shiite rule in Lucknow and explored new layers of this historical period with the help of young researchers specializing in Indian heritage.”

“There is extensive information about Lucknow Seminary,” the director of Imamate International Foundation stated, “Therefore, in addition to the congress of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain and his family, we decided to hold another prestigious congress about the late Sayed Dildar Ali Naqvi, the founder of the seminary, and author of the “Ijtihad”.”

“Completing scientific projects from generation to generation and creating a common knowledge space among generations is one of the special characteristics of the family of the author of Abaqat and the author of Ijtihad. During the last two generations, unfortunately, the scientific path of these two families has not continued, and the Shiite seminary in northern India has been deprived of a ripe and skilled scholar,” he noted.

Referring to the efforts made in the field of studying Shiite heritage in India, Subhani said, “We still face many problems, and a complete account of India’s heritage is not available. The Supreme Leader of the Revolution is concerned about the Indian subcontinent as the focal point of the Islamic and Shiite world. Therefore, large organizations such as the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly will pay attention to this area.”

In another part of his speech, the director of the International Congress of Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain, stated, “This congress is considered as the unity point of prominent ulama and main Shiite families in the Indian subcontinent, and it has been welcomed by the Shiites of the region.”

“The Imamate International Foundation is ready to organize specialized workshops and courses based on the presentation of the Shiite heritage and the thoughts of prominent Islamic ulama in cooperation with the representative offices of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Islamic countries,” he said at the end of his speech.

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Hojat al-Islam Kazemi, the Secretary of the International Congress of the late Allameh Mir Hamid Hussain Lakhnavi (r.a.), and Hojat al-Islam Esfandiari, the Scientific Secretary of the Congress, presented a report on the activities of the Congress.
