The director of Iranian seminaries stated, “AhlulBayt (a.s.) are scientific and emotional source for the Islamic Ummah and this great capacity is less understood.”
On Saturday afternoon, September 3, 2022, at the closing ceremony of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Iran International Conference Center in Tehran, referring to the challenges that the Islamic Ummah is facing, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi stated, “We must try to solve these challenges; challenges, some of which are in the field of knowledge and belief, and necessary measures should be taken to solve them.”
“The emergence of philosophical schools has confronted the youth of the Islamic ummah with various questions; the fact that requires ulama to monitor these questions regularly. Enemies have motives to challenge the Islamic Ummah and spread various doubts in the society. Therefore, the elites of the ummah should take this challenge seriously,” added the director of Iranian seminaries.
“Seminaries should be aware of the source of these doubts. Necessary answers to doubts should be published in a coherent network in the Islamic Ummah,” he stated, “Although the Islamic ummah benefits from many facilities, it is facing backwardness in the fields of science and technology. This backwardness affects the entire ummah and its actions.”
“The Islamic world has many natural and human resources. Islamic countries, with all these capacities, are not in a suitable economic position,” Ayatollah Arafi noted.
“The arrogance of the world is trying to invade the Islamic world. The Islamic Ummah has a suitable political position in the world according to its capacity. However, from social point of view, unfortunately, there are differences in the Islamic Ummah, and even among the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, the fact that threatens unity,” he added.
“One of the challenges that the Islamic Ummah is facing is some secular and western interpretations of Islam, which have become the basis for avoiding correct policy making,” emphasized the director of Iran’s seminaries.
“AhlulBayt (a.s.) are scientific and emotional source for the Islamic Ummah and this great capacity is less understood,” he added.
“The condition for the movement in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) path, is to have a theoretical approach. Reason leads us to the holy realm of revelation, and rationality is the result of civilization and in the form of a system, and it is revolutionary and untangling in our era,” Ayatollah Arafai said.
“In the statement of the second phase of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, rationality is emphasized. To play active role in wisdom and thought movement, we need comprehensive and revolutionary rationality,” he continued.
“We must play an active role in the field of politics, with political logic,” said the director of Iran’s seminaries.
Referring to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings, he stated, “We are proud of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings and we are willing to sacrifice our lives for them.”
“We must explain Shiite teachings, which are the source of knowledge for the world. The Islamic Revolution offers comprehensive rationality to the world and makes waves,” Ayatollah Arafi noted.
“In the light of the Islamic Revolution, seminaries made great changes. Many measures have been taken in the field of universities and educational centers. It is necessary to expand the boundaries of Islamic sciences,” he added.
Considering the development of women’s education essential, the director of Iranian seminaries stated, “Playing a role in social and political fields is one of the achievements of the seminary.”
“Today, the world is ready to accept (AhlulBayt (a.s.) knowledge) and we hope that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, in its new programs, will design comprehensive plans to achieve this goal,” he continued.
