The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “The realization of justice has been the desire and objective of all divine prophets. In the current era, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could fulfill the wish of all divine prophets with his Christ-like breath: that is, moving towards freedom, spirituality, and justice. This is the important issue that the late Imam Khomeini sought to realize. We also ought to for realizing and achieving it.”
ABWA Official Website – On Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2023, at the demise anniversary ceremony of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), which was held in the cultural-sports complex of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) with the participation of more than 600 students of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, many people in different countries of the world, from Africa to Europe and America, and from East to West, with different nationalities, talk about the greatness of Imam Khomeini (r.a.), who changed the world.”
“Many world intellectuals have acknowledged the greatness of the late Imam,” he added, “Both the great politicians of the world honor and bow to him, and some Christian scholars say that “he revived us with his breath, which was like Christ”.”
“With the formation and promotion of the ideas of Marx and Lenin in the East, the effort to erase religion from human life became stronger. They considered religion to be the ‘opium of the masses’ and believed that religion would become isolated and have no place in the world to come. Also, some people considered religion as superstition,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.
On the other hand, he added that some people in the West also tried to destroy religion by promoting atheistic ideas. “But they could not. However, these attacks eventually led to the restriction of religion, and a secular outlook was promoted.”
“We believe that religion is a matter of Fitrah (the divine and inherent nature of the man). Human Fitrah seeks religion. The language of religion is the reason and Fitrah. Though the holy book of Muslims is lexically Arabic. But the language of its understanding is intellect and Fitrah. That’s why when you speak this language in the world, everyone will accept it,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, a member of the Council of Leadership Experts.
“In the East and the West, it was thought that no one can make a revolution with religious characteristics anywhere in the world,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “They believed that if there is a revolution in the world, it will be secular, and religion will not play any role in the social arena. The theory was even presented that maybe some revolutions in the world are looking for irreligion.”
“Belief was created between Muslims and Shiites. Although they had no idea about the power of religion in social presence and the occurrence of a religious revolution. Even the seminarians did not believe that a seminary graduate could enter the field,” he added.
While referring to the crimes and looting by the Pahlavi regime and the martyrdom, imprisonment, and exile of many great figures, including the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), at that time, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) continued to reach his goal as a duty. He said, “Wherever I go, I will shout the call of freedom, and children in cradles will appear in the fields in due time.” Great professors such as Martyr Motahari, Martyr Bahonar, Martyr Beheshti, Martyr Mofatteh, and other figures did intellectual and cultural works and were trained under the special conditions of that time and then entered the field.”
