Lebanese Sunni cleric: Saudis, Emiratis do not even respect neighborhood, common religion, language

While sharply criticizing the disrespect of the Saudi coalition to some Arabs in the region, the chairman of the board of trustees of the Lebanese Muslim Ulama Association said, “We will do our best to support the Yemeni people. Expressing solidarity with these oppressed people is the smallest thing that every Muslim should do.”

Coinciding with the intensification of the aggression of the Arab-Western-Hebrew coalition in attacking the oppressed people of Yemen, the International Conference “Investigating the Dimensions of the Aggression against Yemen” was held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, by the Arbaeen International Foundation in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and coordinated institutions.

As the 6th speaker of the conference, while criticizing the aggression of the arrogant forces and the Zionist sworn enemy, and the support of the Arabs of the region – who have in no way respect the common religion, neighborhood and Islamic and Arab brotherhood with the Yemeni people – the head of the board of trustees of the Lebanese Muslim Ulema Association said, “This resilient nation deserves victory.”

“On the nation of Yemen, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, ‘Faith is from Yemen, and wisdom comes from this land’,” Sheikh Ghazi Hanina stated, describing the seven-year resistance of the Yemeni people as a blessed period that made this nation show their firm and iron will.”

“The beautiful picture of the Yemeni people shows their commitment to the belief and faith in the orders of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) in the face of oppression and the victory of the truth,” he clarified, “Yemen is an example of verse 39 of Surah Al-Hajj. They stand for their beliefs in order to preserve everything that is inside them and their beliefs in political, economic, military and cultural terms.”

While praising the resistance of the Yemeni people and following Sayed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, Sheikh Hanina said, “This great Sayed, who leads his nation to human dignity and rejects all oppression and aggression, has called on his people to resist in these years, and the nation, relying on their deep-rooted belief, have shown that they are steadfast in religion and do not accept the domination of the oppressors.”

“For years, this nation has shown itself in this way. As we know, the origin of Islam is from Yemen and the origin of the Arabic language is also from Yemen,” the Lebanese Sunni scholar stated, describing the Yemeni nation as the flagship of true Islam in the region.

“We support and help this people. This is the least we can do to help them. They are in the front line, and we are moving behind them. We thank them for their resilience in the face of oppression,” he said, considering solidarity, even verbally, alongside the Yemenis in their harsh days as the duty of all Muslims.

“Zionism knows that if they think of invading this land for a moment, they will surely lose,” Sheikh Hanina stated, describing the Resistance as the cause of fear in the hearts of the Zionists.

“With their resistance, Yemenis showed that years of oppression are enough, and if the enemies do not stop oppressing, their blood and their cities are not more valuable than the blood and cities of the Yemeni people. ‘You enemies will definitely be attacked. We send drones and attack all of your strategic areas deep in your soil so that the people of the Persian Gulf can put pressure on their rulers’,” continued the chairman of the board of trustees of the Lebanese Muslim Ulama Association.

“It is necessary for all the people of the world to rise up with these people, to pay attention to their resistance, to support them, and to understand their plight,” he stated.

“Whoever supports the Yemeni people has supported and helped the right against oppression and has supported the oppressed against the arrogant. It is an honor for us to stand against oppression and to stand by the Yemeni people,” Sheikh Hanina said in the end.
