ABWA Official Website – On the eve of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Arbaeen, the second “Arbaeen and Missionary Women” conference was held by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly and Ashura International Foundation at the office of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly in Kabul.
In this conference, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi said, “The immortality of the Ashura event is closely related to the Arbaeen message, which is crystallized every year in the Arbaeen Walk.”
“The land of Karbala is indebted to Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his martyred companions. The Ashura event and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) introduced this land to the whole world and gave Karbala holiness and greatness. The soil of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) grave is healing, and prostration on it is superior and virtuous over any other soil. But the important point is that Imam Hussain (a.s.) is grateful to his sister Lady Zaynab (a.s.). Because if it wasn’t for Lady Zaynab (a.s.) and Imam Sajjad (a.s.), and they didn’t do effective messaging, Ashura would have stayed in Karbala. Following the Ashura event and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and other martyrs of Karbala, Lady Zaynab’s (a.s.) sermons in Kufa and Levant caused an uprising,” he added.
“Lady Zaynab’s words in Kufa show her eloquence and knowledge. It is mentioned in the history books that when Lady Zaynab (a.s.) wanted to start her sermon, she shouted, “Be silent!” With this order of Lady Zaynab (a.s.), silence fell everywhere, and even the bells of the camels were silenced. This incident shows that Lady Zaynab (a.s.) had such a high mystical and spiritual power that everyone and everything obeyed her orders, including living beings and non-living things. This showed her power and formative will,” he added.
“The sermon of Lady Zaynab (a.s.) inspired the people of Kufa. Those who had seen Imam Ali (a.s.) said, “Subhan Allah! (Glory be to God!) Today we once again hear the words of Ali (a.s.) from Zaynab (a.s.) in Kufa.” Another sermon of Lady Zaynab (a.s.) was delivered in the Levant. In Yazid’s court, the women and maidservants belonging to him sat behind the curtains, while the family of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) were being watched in the center of the court! The court was full of people in different ranks. They put the head of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in front of Yazid, and he hit the lips of Imam (a.s.) with a stick in his hand while insulting the Imam (a.s.)! Aslami, one of the Prophet’s companions who was present in the Yazid’s court, shouted, “Yazid! I, myself saw that the Messenger of God (p.b.u.h) kissed these lips! Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Imam Hassan (a.s.) are the lords of the youth of heaven. Do not insult these lips!” Yazid got angry and ordered to expel the Prophet's companion from the court,” he said.
“Lady Zaynab (a.s.) began to deliver the sermon. After praising God and blessing the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and his family, AhlulBayt (a.s.), she said, “Yazid! You narrowed the earth and the sky on us, and you made us like captives, do you think you won? Never! God has given you time to commit sins more and increase your punishment (in Hell). O child of the freed infidels! Is it just that you put your wives and maidservants behind the curtains and exposed the family of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) like captives to the public? You broke their hijab and exposed their faces, and you moved them from city to city and neighborhood to neighborhood! You shed the blood of the Prophet’s children, and now you ask your elders to call you good job?! Yazid! If you take victory over us as a trophy today, be aware that you will soon pay for it. Yazid! Use whatever trick you have, but you will not be able to erase our memory and turn off the light of our revelation! The stain of this will never be removed from your clothes”,” he continued.
Regarding the “Arbaeen and Missionary Women” conference, Alami Balkhi said, “The message of Arbaeen is to say that messaging has a crucial role, and we should not neglect this point. Arbaeen, that is the occasion when Lady Zaynab (a.s.) returned to Karbala from the Levant and reported the effect of the messaging to her martyred brother, Imam Hussain (a.s.).”
In this conference, while presenting a report on the Ashura ceremony of 1445, 2023, Ms. Farideh Mousavi, Ms. Sughra Mahdavi, and Ms. Zuleykha Hosseini gave suggestions to the participants for a better Arbaeen ceremony.
Furthermore, Professor Faiqa Javid, one of the speakers at the conference, presented valuable content and guidelines, which were welcomed by the participants.
After the chorus and performance of the Noor Al-Huda Cultural Center hymn group, the conference ended with the eulogy for AhlulBayt (a.s.).
