The head of the Ulama Association of Syria stated, “In the political and cultural spheres, West plans in such a way that people persuade to follow the colonial plans.”

In the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam Sayed Abdullah Nizam, the head of the Ulama Association of Syria, stated, “Reactions to martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) was limited at that time, and Muslims just send a greeting. There were people who could not exercise their choice. Because they were under cultural and political pressure. They could not even mourn. This situation caused people to react to Imam’s martyrdom as if there was no problem.”

“Today, in the political and cultural spheres, West plans in such a way that people persuade to follow the colonial plans. Zionism and US plans alienate people to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings.  The existing corruptions are all to keep people away from reality. Therefore, we must utilize our facilities to inform people,” he added.

About Marjaiat, the head of the Ulama Association of Syria said, “Today, the Marjaiat does not have the necessary facilities to manage the Shiites. We need to fill the gaps.”

“I suggest that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly either expands its activities or be divided into two parts. The assembly should either be for Fiqh schools (such as Alawites, etc.) or cover these schools separately from other religions. In any case, such meetings should be developed. Some communities have suitable facilities that we can use,” he added.

“Another issue is that we in the Assembly first tried to find the Shiite areas in the world. Then, according to the areas, to propagate Islam. Of course, there are many Shiites who have a high political position, but they do not have organizations through which they can achieve unity,” Sayed Abdullah Nizam said in the end.
