Taheri stated, “Google Scholar is comprehensive because of advanced bots for searching various sources, including books and articles.”
ABWA Official Website – On Thursday morning, March 2, 2023, during a ceremony at the conference hall of the Assembly in Qom, four products of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly on the web platform, namely Comprehensive Rahnama Portal, Digital Library of the Assembly, AhlulBayt (a.s.) Research Network on the Google Scholar platform, and Seraj Cultural-Propagational Digital Special Issue regarding Mahdism, were unveiled.
In this ceremony, while expressing his satisfaction with the approach of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the scientific advisor of the Assembly in the Google Scholar project stated, “In terms of content, we have no shortcomings. Because the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings are the best source to present to the world. But these contents should be published correctly by using the best means.”
“One of the best indicators of scientific assessment of a work is the number of citations to that work and its statistical analysis, which a platform like Google Scholar has such a capability. Also, by analyzing the data of these profiles, different scientific institutions are trying to establish communication with different people. For this reason, such a platform is of high value at the international level,” added Dr. Sayed Mahdi Taheri.
“Google Scholar, as a citation index, has been stronger than other similar sites. It is comprehensive because of advanced bots for searching various sources, including books and articles. Another feature of Google Scholar is that in this database, the focus is on people and their profiles which provides a basis for getting to know the thoughts of ulama and their works,” he said.
“The next step of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) World Assembly should be to create a network between WikiShia, Google Scholar, and Rahnama Portal to lead to the republishing of knowledge, and on the other hand, to provide a connection between these websites for familiarity and easy access of the audience,” said scientific advisor of the Assembly in the Google Scholar project in the end. /345/
