The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The late Mohagheghi Lahiji had both knowledge and spirituality. The key to his success was ethics, and this is the art that religious scholars should have.”
In the unveiling ceremony of the book “Shiite Ambassador in the West”, offering condolences on the occasion of the Imam Javad (a.s.) martyrdom anniversary, and thanking the participants in this meeting and members of the media, Ayatollah “Reza Ramazani” said, “Late Mohagheghi Lahiji can be considered literally an immigrant in the way of God, an immigrant who moved forward with thought and purpose. He was literally an immigrant for God and a scientific Mujahid.”
“To benefit from the treasure of Fiqh, Osul, and Islamic ethics, he migrated from Lahijan to Rasht, Tehran, Mashhad, and Qom. Studying modern science, and learning Russian and French, made him a comprehensive figure,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Propagation (of Islam) is not just about words and inducing meanings, rather in the true sense of the word, it is conveying the truth to the heart and soul of the audience. If one wants to achieve this important issue, one must have the knowledge of religion and spirituality that arises from religious knowledge,” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
Referring to the hadith of Imam Sadeq (a.s.) that said, “إنّ اللّٰه أدّب نبيّه صلّى اللّٰه عليه و آله فأحسن تأديبه (God Almighty disciplined and trained his Prophet)” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Preachers should be polite to divine etiquette, following the example of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and the late Mohagheghi Lahiji had this attribute.”
“We have not been successful in sending missionaries who know a foreign language and have scientific and spiritual prestige,” said the former head of the Islamic Center in Hamburg, Germany, adding “The late Mohagheghi Lahiji had knowledge and science, as well as spirituality and righteous deeds. The key to his success was ethics, and this is the art that religious scholars should have.”
“If teaching and learning are based on divine commands, they will last. Also, in this case, the memory of the preacher will remain. Hojat al-Islam Mohagheghi Lahiji and the late Beheshti had these characteristics,” he added, emphasizing that today human society is eager for morality in the strict sense of the word.
“One of the prominent moral characteristics of the late Mohagheghi Lahiji was humility, and because of this humility, God blessed him,” said Ayatollah Ramazani.
It should be mentioned that the unveiling ceremony of the book “Shiite Ambassador in the West”, a description of the efforts of Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Mohagheghi Lahiji, the first Imam of Imam Ali (a.s.)
