The closing ceremony of the 1st “World Prize 114” will be held to select the best Quranic activities of the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).
The closing ceremony of the first “World Prize 114” will be held face-to-face and online.
The ceremony will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, from 6 pm local time, in compliance with health protocols due to Covid-19, in the conference hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom.
The first call for “World Prize 114” was announced by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly last holy month of Ramadan, and during which, the best Quranic missionaries, works and activities of Shiites around the world will be selected.
Commemorating prominent Quranic figures
In addition to awarding prizes to the winners of the World Prize 114, two prominent Quranic figures will be honored by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
The late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, and Ayatollah Mohammad Saeed No’mani, the authors of exquisite Tafsir book “Al-Mukhtasar Al-Mufid fi Tafsir Al-Quran Al-Majid”, are two prominent thinkers who will be honored in the first course of this international event.

It should be mentioned that more than 130 participants from more than 40 countries participated in the preparation, distribution and Quranic propagation-promotion activities of the festival, and submitted their works and activity reports to the festival secretariat.
After submitting the works in the secretariat of this competition, the first stage of judging and selection of works was done and among the works and reports received from all over the world, more than 20 works and activities entered the final stage of judging. The final stage of judging was done by judges from four countries and tomorrow the winners of this competition will be announced.
The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
