In this session, on the situation of women in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azeri woman Ms. Aminah Hosseinova stated, “If it wasn’t for the Islamic revolution, the situation of Iranian women would have been the same as the women of Azerbaijan, so they had to fight to keep their hijab.”

“Although the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan are Muslim and Shiite, the country’s secular government has restricted the activities of Shiites,” she continued.

“We are indebted to the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Because if it wasn’t for their blood, we wouldn’t have known about the Islamic Revolution. A Muslim woman won’t progress unless she keeps hijab, and anyone who wants to progress must observe hijab,” Aminah Hosseinova continued.

It is worth mentioning that the program will be held at the same time as the anniversary of the Goharshad incident, and the week of “Chastity and Hijab” in person and virtually, with the cooperation of the Sisters Branch of Basij of Lawyers Organization, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and Lady Amin Cultural Center.
