The opening ceremony of the International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), started, Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021, in the Quds Hall of Imam Khomeini Complex in Qom.

“In this conference extensive work has been done about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). He was a believer in Islam and holding a conference about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is serving Islam, the history of Islam and the Shiite world,” stated the Grand Ayatollah “Nasser Makarem Shirazi”, in a video message to the conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Prophet (p.b.u.h).

“The conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) should have an Islamic atmosphere so that no excuse is given to the enemies. If a film is made about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), it is very good, because the young generation understands the language of art better than any other language,” he continued.

“A documentary about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) should be produced with the presence of prominent figures. We love him because he is oppressed. He has been called an unbeliever for no reason, while Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) has emphasized his faith in Islam in his poems,” added the Shiites’ source of emulation.

“In the advent of Islam, Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) supported the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) unequivocally,” he noted.
