Commemoration ceremony for a prominent Kenyan Shiite scholar will be held in Qom

The memorial service for Sheikh Abdullahi Nasser, a prominent Shiite scholar from Kenya, will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, in Qom.

The commemoration ceremony of the late Haj Sheikh Abdullahi Nasser Jumaa, a prominent Kenyan Shiite scholar and defender of the school of Infallible AhlulBayt (a.s.), will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, in Qom.

The ceremony will be held simultaneously with the anniversary of the death of Lady Umm Al-Banin (a.s.) after noon prayers by the Kenyan students of the seminary of Qom and Al Al-Bayt University (a.s.), and with the cooperation of some international institutions, including the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and Al-Mustafa International University (a.s.), in Imam Jafar Sadeq (a.s.) Mosque of Al Al-Bayt (a.s.) University, located on Somayeh Street in Qom.

Haj Sheikh Abdullahi Jumaa Nasser, a prominent Kenyan Shiite scholar and member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who played an important role in guiding the people and defending the Shiite school in East Africa, passed away at the age of 90.

After a funeral by the believers, the deceased was buried in Al-Hasanin Mosque (a.s.) in Mombasa and was buried in Ganjuni Cemetery.

The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly  is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
